Dave Albert- thoughts?













Don't get the logic. He can still be fair and honest and fire people for personal reasons; where is that illogical? Fairness and honesty is not the same as ethical and/or professional.

Ok, I guess your right I must be the moron since I thought firing someone for personal reasons ( I assume that means for reasons other than how you do your job) would would be unfair and since you have to build a case using business reasons to fire someone he would have to make a dishonest case to be able to fire them. I thought you had enough intelligence to understand at least BASIC logic even if it was presented in a sarcastic way, apparently it went way over the top of your head. I know Mike Austin. Like all of us, he has his faults, but, like all district managers, much of what he does is via Albert's orders.

What Hospira needs to recognize is that Albert is way in over his head being a regional manager. From the few things I know that he's done to people, he is an HR nightmare. Why he escapes any disciplinary action is a mystery to many of us...except he is in tight with Burke and Glivar, so I guess that solves the mystery.

People leave jobs for any number of reasons, one is being pushed out. If any of Mike's reps were pushed out, I'm sure it was on Albert's orders and Mike does what he is told to do.

Despite of all the assurances we hear, let us not be fooled to believe that all our jobs are not in serious jeopardy. Hospira is currently NOT a strong company; ACC is facing its imminent demise next year. Most smart people desiring a career beyond next year are seeking other employment; don't blame Mike for that.
 












I'm not Mike's friend.....but friend or no friend, he is no different than any other manager, be it Hospira or any other company. They all do what they are told or they are gone.

Albert, well he's a whole 'nother story. No need to bash him any further, we all know who and what he is.
 












I am considering a position with Hospira in Dave Albert's region. If you have any insights you are willing to share, I would like to get a feel for his character, leadership strengths, if/how he motivates his team. Is he a good person to work for who looks out for his people? An honest appraisal with some supporting facts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, in advance!

At a regional meeting he tried to get me to buy some concentrated veggie vitamins that his wife sells. Very unprofessional and puts reps on the spot to buy from his wife or take the chance of pissing-off your RM.

Must need the money. Very unprofessional and not right to be doing.

Have known DA for a long time although I haven't worked for him. He is as decent as most corporate kool aid drinkers. If he had a mind of his own earlier, he only follows the company line now. Same for other RM, KP. They have been beaten down and conditioned to follow, not lead. Like one of the other posts said, the DM will be who you have to deal with, not the RM unless you are applying for a DM position. And just for the record, MA is one of the weakest mindless drones in the company. Would never ever take a job in his district.
 


















Regardless of Dave, who is a douche, stay away from this company. It is in total disarray. If it is the only job you have an opportunity to work for, take the job, and do what the rest of us are doing....looking for a new job.

This company is crying for money- not allowing trips for training and yet there is a trip to figgin Africa (whereever).for the CEO and his fav minions.when we cannot sell product. NOW moron posting and looking for a job here. does that not tell you that this company is screwed up.....HSP works you to death at the plants and at corporate- DO not expect a raise or a bonus and if you know what you are doing- THEY GET RID OF YOU since they want PUPPETS....tighten your strings-its going to be a bumpy ride....
