CV National Meeting

GSK just cancelled their national meeting. Who is going to wise up and cancel a worthless national meeting in Orlando - dragging us all of the way from California to this “role play” fest? Nothing new, nothing exciting, same old tired trip.

Are we learning anything new? Maybe for the new hires?

In every division at Amgen, we operate under a 1995 Merckette manual. We will have NSMs because that's what Merck did in the mid 90s. We will role play. We will utilize High Gain Questions. We will trial close. We will clarify, then close hard! We do it all, because we "serve parents." We just did it in Savannah. To watch the RSDs suck up to the Queen on stage was nauseating.

Wait - I got it - it is a way for the outstanding upper managers to get together, kiss their managers behinds, play a little golf, be seen - all at the expense of all of us traveling to accomplish nothing. Got it. Millions and millions spent. Hello DOGE. lol

True. No other companies in our industry have NSMs.

True. No other companies in our industry have NSMs.
The small nimble rare disease companies don't. Only Big Pharma has them and they all do silly role plays, working breakfasts, a ERG table, and a quick talk from the lobbyist begging for money. Flush out your headgear TO denizen. Just because everyone else does it, doesn't mean it works or it's needed.

Most of us enjoy attending NSM. - nice hotel room, free meals and drinks, entertainment, meet with colleagues, network with senior management , and time away from delivering sandwiches.

Wrong, dumbass. Horizon had NSMs. It was a small rare disease company. The majority of the industry has NSMs. Start your own company if you do not like attending. You sound stupid.

You are wrong. most of us don't like to go listen to uninspiring leaders, listen to out of touch marketing messages, out of date training dept role play tactics, hours and hours of worthless speeches, etc. Most of the sales force is miserable. We stay for the money and benefits and tolerate this once a year. A silver lining is I will see some of my district mates in person.

CV is the worst division in the company. Led by a total big pharma douche, all of his subordinates just say yes Daddy, and try to be BOLD

So pathetic, and bonus’s are terrible and completely contingent on managed care access. Oral PCSK-9’s coming soon, this division will be sliced and diced soon.
