It would be interesting to print this off & send it to the top three. I wonder if the guy at the top has a clue how unhappy the C/S team is ?
Getting rid of the manager won't solve the problem. There are other breakdowns that need addressed. There are people in CS who will go above and beyond for everyone.
How can one person have that much power? I mean is this for real? If your company is that bad, and you're this unhappy maybe it is time for a career change.
It has nothing to do with one person having power. It is about the Manager
1 Not being there
2 Not being able to help the "Team" when it is needed
3 Not being able to answer questions about daily problems
That is only the start, I won't continue, and yes, the Director & VP has been told about these problems many times and still do nothing.
The sad thing is that there are C/S team members that go up and beyond when you call in and are just tired of seeing the team fall apart.
Are there reasons as to why this person is absent? If the problems are daily shouldn't the department be staffed with qualified individuals to can handle the "daily" problems?
Yes, this time there supposedly a reason, it's just all the times that the Field & Team is frustrated with. One can only cry wolf so much.
The C/S Team does a great job, it just would be nice if the Manager was able to help them when they are short handed do to vacations, lunch, meetings or extremely busy.
If it's that bad then discover a work around. I'm not sure about the crying wolf with the job markets the way they are then this wouldn't be tolerated one would think. Maybe there are circumstances that are not known to everyone?
Unfortunately, I do not know the people involved but it seems as though something needs done. However, a blog like this will produce minimal results as anyone with any stature to accomplish the outcome you're seeking will not place a second thought on a notion that appears on a forum such as this.
Maybe you should talk to AB since he is running things so well since he took over for AJ. Or maybe talk to that fat steroid junky who has an office in CS because he doesn't have the balls to sit near his subordinates.
Just keep telling yourself its all warm and fuzzy! The kool aid was good!
I think management is waking up. All is not well in CS just because one pretends that it is.
