If you are getting no bonus, then you are not doing your job....making calls and achieving at least 90% of your reach. You probably should not be doing this job if you cannot handle that. I mad full 15% bonus each quarter, which added and additional $5,200 to my "pathetic" as you say salary of $35,000. Along with the auto allowance, telecom reimbursement and mileage, that put me at $ 48,500 for the year. Not the most I have ever made, but it beats unemployment and I have built solid relationships with HCP's and may be able to parlay this into a career after this contract expires.

Loser. You're not parlaying this into anything you're basically a robot that drops samples. You're barely allowed to know what disease states these drugs treat and can't answer any questions for docs. You ruin the little credibility that reps have with doctors. reps hate you and docs hate you even more.
 






CSA here replying to the "loser" in your post -- when was the last time you overheard a "clinical" conversation between a doctor and a rep? After almost two years doing this job I have not heard one, from no one, and especially not from the AZ PSS I often see/hear and collaborate with. I find myself covering more on more products than anyone else does! The only thing I agree with is that this will NOT parlay into anything since I see this as a dead field. I am doing what I am being paid to do, and I take pride in doing it well, and not collecting an inflated check for catering services. Yes, we are grossly underpaid and more and more is being piled on! If I could find a decent job doing almost anything else I would jump ship. This is good for right now while I keep looking for something better. The loser comment will come back and bite you in the butt!

The AZ/PSS clinical reps must be doing something more than you because the rx's and MS numbers are coming on higher since we started! Can't dispute the trend!You DO YOUR JOB AND WE WILL DO OURS!
 






The pay and abuse in this position is a joke... so here's the deal. Get your signatures and go home. When your DM is with you, put on a little show. There is absolutely NO incentive to say a word about these drugs...MM, Savings, or EDU info. CSA's are paid on reach and frequency, thats it. Why the hell would you want to bust your ass to make AZ and the PSS's more money on Crestor, Symbicort, and Vimovo???? Oh, and the "Customer Service" title now added on to your resume...that's going to get you no where except laughed at on your next interview. This is the position of a csa in a nutshell.

Hey jackass, you need to get a life and stop projecting your miserable and negative mindset on others. You probably live in your parents basement and play video games all day, loser- look in the mirror and grow up. And what credibility do reps have? They are soooo much smarter than everyone , right? Please....and you have it backwards- docs hate reps .....unless they are bringing them food. Why dont you just become a sandwich delivery boy for Jimmy John's? You should excel at that. Do your "job" and we will do ours....

Since we got Nexium, the sales have dropped consistently. Eventually, even the idiots at AZ will catch on. Don't believe me? Go to AZ's website and look at the quarterly reports going back, and look at Nexium sales. Not exactly stellar.

When one product,no less multiples in the PPI market, go generic,its all about damage control,and trying to minimize MS loss in branded products.MC and pharmacies are pushing generics wherever possible.A few years ago,a product in my category went generic,and after seeing MS increase monthly for my drug,that all stopped by the second month that one of my competitors went generic. MC is mandating right now that patients have to fail on generics before they can get to Nexium. It doesn't help either that AZ hasn't had anyone talking clinically about Nexium for awhile!
 






AZ has a contract SALES force promoting Nexium to GEs. They are sales not customer service. They were hired to speak clinically with drs. but the one in my area just gets signatures and clicks away. Just like AZ PSSs.

I am one of those "selling Nexium" reps and all i do is get sigs and wouldn't even think about trying to detail this drug to docs that have prescribed it 1,000's of times. Yes, Nexium sales have dropped and will continue to drop. There is no real promotion of nexus out there. The CSA's are useless and we aren't much better, but it pays the bills until i can get the hell out!
 






Will the renewed CSA contract include a car?? My mgr keeps saying it's a possibility. My territory size and gas prices are killing me. I barely have enough money to pay my bills. How can they expect people to live like this?? Sad that we are treated so terrible and the mgrs on this contract are paid extremely well. I wonder do they every feel bad for us??

If that is all you are doing,you should be a CSA! With the new info. we have it can be used to keep Dexi from growing.That is the low hanging fruit!

Docs laugh if you actually try and "sell" Nexium to them. I don't sell shit. Just get my sigs and go home.

Had a GE ask me why they replaced "HIS Nexium rep" with me!! You are right, all I do is collect my signatures and nothing else. Just try and detail a GE on Nexium, and they look at you like they think you are crazy!! Sigs only for me!
