Stay away from this job at all cost. They want people without experience because they figure they will be stupid enough to do this job and not realize what a terrible deal it is. You are basically a pharm rep BUT without the pay and more products, more accounts and more miles to cover. The salary is 35k and you will be servicing 4 products. 10 account calls per day and covering a huge territory in your own car. You will loose money on the car. The work load and expectations are insane for the pay.

Totally agree! Do not take this job. You're better off waiting on tables!!

is this full time, because pss has had some flex/part time contracts in the past which paid the same thing but only required 3 days of work?

No, this is a full tiime position. Actuallly it's more than full time and you will wear out your personal car. They keep adding products and responsibilities for the same pay.

What makes this position so horrible? Do they give you additional money for car allowance? I'm considering applying for this position. Any information you have is greatly appreciated.

It is not a bad job at all. I think the complaint is the pay relative to pharma reps. There are car allowances, cell & internet and mileage. In some cases the territories are large and there is a lot of driving. I think the pay is the issue when CSA learn they are basically doing the same thing as reps and are making a portion of what reps make.

Its terrible. Wish I never took this job. No bonus. No respect. Could go on and on.

Sure, its a paycheck. But, I didn't go to school to just get a paycheck. If I wanted just a paycheck, I would have been a garbage man or something.

For those of you looking, be picky if you can, because there is no future here, unless you want to be average.

My territory is huge and with gas prices about to sky rocket I am really concerned about the out of pocket cost associated with this job. Will AZ and PSS ever reconsider giving the CSAs a company car and gas card?

Doubtful but until then increase your mileage on your expense reports gradually. Start out by adding 5 miles a day then work your way up.

The job is exactly that, average. Average pay, average expectations...average. However, the territories and duties are not average, they're large. Expect to drive your car into the ground, put $$$ into servicing it every two to three months, and get little in return. $500 a month and mileage for your car is ok, if the territories were half the size. Also, the contract started with just Nexium. It has grown into 4 drugs, with no increase in pay. So, the job duties and time in the field has increased 4 fold. Plus, they think you can get everything done within 40 hours per week. Once, the economy turns around and the "real jobs" start coming back, watch for these used and abused CSA's to tell PSS and AZ to kiss their A**.

Let me answer that one for you...uh...no they won't. You are our slaves. You started out just sampling Nexium, and now you have 4 drugs and more to come. You will be used until AZ has no more use for you.
