agreed!!! No one should be forced to resign- but that is what is happening! they are not giving any options...if you can not do what they say with NO notice they force you to resign
THEY can take this job and SHOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! no guarantee of future employment whatsoever, using us REPS with NO notice told the friday before..HAPPY SATURDAY GUYS start studying...and oh by the way.. forget its saturday...forget its fathers day forget FAMILY... and by the way .....you have to go to CA next week for a co that you dont even work for to learn THEIR drugs, be in exams and sent out to CA on a moments notice when you have children to take care of...where is their sense of family here- how are we supposed to get a babysitter this late?!!!! WHO HAS EVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING??!!!!!! How can anyone work for a co like this? this is the biggest Cluster F I have ever seen.........

I need to turn it down too but this is so messed up on so many levels because we deserve another choice instead of this "you must take this forced job or you're out" crap.

you do get unemployment if you are forced to resign, if you are fired you dont get unemploy.
The unemployment may or may not happen but benefits will probably end and this is a hardship for people who are unable to take the job (I have an upcoming procedure coming up).
You were offered a job, if you choose not to take it and resign, you WILL NOT get unemployment. A job was offered to you, you did not accept. This is not forcing you out, you had an opportunity for employment, if your choice is not to accept it, that means you quit,,,,if you quit, you do not get unemployment..period.
Unfortunately, this is true. This is what the manufacturers do during large layoffs. They offer impossible territories so that you are forced to decline so that they don't have to pay the severances.
That was my gut feeling and it stinks!
We should be given some option with our health benefits at the very least.
Quintiles does not fight unemployment. Even if you are fired, you receive unemployment.
