Crickets!

I am guessing, and it is just a guess, that Respiratory will have layoffs. Since Women's Health announced layoffs, why have we not been told we are safe. Perhaps because we are not. I bet we hear this week. Watch for the email from corporate. I know, I know, TR is growing with a great pipeline....then why have we not been told we are safe? I hope I am wrong.

I don't know about this week but agree it will happen soon. It seems like even home office is at a loss for knowing when it will go down and is waiting for final direction from Israel. If they do know then they owe it to us to tell us what is going on. Telling us to stay focused may sound good but goes against human nature, especially when it is the same verbiage that has been used before layoffs at other companies. Lack of communication is a recipe for rumors and fear to run rampant. The sooner that is realized by home office the better. Think about it, if we knew a layoff was eminent and we had a time frame, more reps would look for and possibly take jobs elsewhere before the layoff thereby decreasing the number of actual layoffs in the end. On top of that, the rumors would decrease because the information would already be known and you could focus your energies accordingly.

TWH were told that we were already lean and didn't have anything to worry about. We didn't know shit until Marty mentioned to a few of us to get our resumes ready. Then and only then did our VP of Sales put out an announcement. Reps pretty much knew everything before the managers who were blindsided. Do yourself a favor and start interviewing. It doesn't hurt to see what is out there and practice your interview skills.

Spot on.

What are the chances we will find out whether or not we have jobs before Christmas? Is this what senior management calls being transparent? Too bad they don't have enough RESPECT for the sales force to let us know what is going on. Especially since TWH were told they were fine but clearly were not!

respect? Guess what? Doctors and offices don't respect the pharma rep, so why would anyone want to stay in the industry that is deceitful and greedy? You have been brainwashed into thinking you are doing good for the patient...your not. Getting fired will be the best thing that happens. There are industries to work in where you will be respected...not monitored like children...pathetic industry, nothing fulfilling about it, working with inept corrupt managers on EVERY level. Doesn't the firing of Levin prove that? Get your self esteem back...be pro active. Get out of the industry unless you like the feeling of being on the Titanic. Because the pharma ship IS sinking.

If this is true, why hasn't TR sent out a communication? Instead we receive a Happy Holiday massage from MS....really?!

Accept the fact that there are no guarantees in life and you will be a much happier person. Read between the lines; they are telling you we are safe, but they really can't write this because there could be some small tweaks to the division and then they're open to a lawsuit. CC has gotten no communication from anyone above him that he needs to do anything right now or for the foreseeable future.
If you can't live with this you could try going to a different company or career, but there are no guarantees there either. I also can't guarantee that you won't get hit by a bus later today….

We are too busy making sure we have a sample call from 8:30-9:00 and after 4:00 everyday, whether or not the samples are needed.

The stupidity of this "check the box" mentality has become so counterproductive to sales that they are pushing us into a slow death. The new sample call criteria you mentioned is getting offices pissed at us. Every rep I talk to here is getting push back and this is damaging their relationships with the offices. Teva now has it backwards, "work harder not smarter"

so your offices are giving you pushback about working a full day? Just go out and do your job and earn your paycheck, free car and great benefits or simply leave. I never understood why anyone bitches about this job considering how easy it truely is. So in exchange for $100,000 plus job and free car I have to get up and be at work by 8am and stay working until after 4pm.....wow that is just too difficult!
