Very quiet here at TR. Now that Women's Health has been reshaped, when will Respiratory know their fate?
I am guessing, and it is just a guess, that Respiratory will have layoffs. Since Women's Health announced layoffs, why have we not been told we are safe. Perhaps because we are not. I bet we hear this week. Watch for the email from corporate. I know, I know, TR is growing with a great pipeline....then why have we not been told we are safe? I hope I am wrong.
The company depends on Teva Respiratory to make up for expected losses in 2014. All we can do is keep moving forward.
I don't know about this week but agree it will happen soon. It seems like even home office is at a loss for knowing when it will go down and is waiting for final direction from Israel. If they do know then they owe it to us to tell us what is going on. Telling us to stay focused may sound good but goes against human nature, especially when it is the same verbiage that has been used before layoffs at other companies. Lack of communication is a recipe for rumors and fear to run rampant. The sooner that is realized by home office the better. Think about it, if we knew a layoff was eminent and we had a time frame, more reps would look for and possibly take jobs elsewhere before the layoff thereby decreasing the number of actual layoffs in the end. On top of that, the rumors would decrease because the information would already be known and you could focus your energies accordingly.
I worked with my manager this week and he said he thinks we are safe. He said he was on a conference call CC and believes we all have our jobs.
If this is true, why hasn't TR sent out a communication? Instead we receive a Happy Holiday massage from MS....really?!
We are too busy making sure we have a sample call from 8:30-9:00 and after 4:00 everyday, whether or not the samples are needed.
The stupidity of this "check the box" mentality has become so counterproductive to sales that they are pushing us into a slow death. The new sample call criteria you mentioned is getting offices pissed at us. Every rep I talk to here is getting push back and this is damaging their relationships with the offices. Teva now has it backwards, "work harder not smarter"
