COVID Isn't Over So Stop The Pressure!!!

Anyone else feeling pressure to book love speaker programs and attend functions inside indoor restaurants? And, I'm really uncomfortable about the upcoming launch meetings possibly being live. Please give people the choice of attending the launch virtually or live like it was first spoken about! I'm grateful for my job but I am also grateful for keeping myself and my loved ones safe by being extremely cautious/ The delta, delta plus, and lambda strains are serious and we can see it in LA and other places around the world. The mutant strains are even dangerous for full vaccinated individuals and I wouldn't be surprised if lockdown measures happen again across the country.

THIS IS OBVIOUSLY THE CORPORATE RESP0NSE. WHEN THEY RESPOND ANONYMOUSLY THEY ARE REFRESHINGLY HONEST.

Yes! The OP even wrote that he or she was grateful for the freaking job! I personally don't want to go anywhere for a meeting and disliked the owning of our days and nights at those things prior to COVID.

My doctors don't want to go to programs and really don't care to go to a place that doesn't have outdoor seating. The doctors were burned out during COVID and many wanted to leave their professions during the height of it last year because their lives were always on the line.

You need to leave our company.

this is a sales job and you have a quota that you are being paid to hit.

No kidding! I'm piping in now as a new poster and the policy is that we are to do what we feel comfortable doing.

My offices mandate masks so I wear one and the doctors appreciate it (and I'm doing well with my numbers).

We also have many virtual options now too and there is no need for anyone to go away for a meeting. Remember what happened at BI when the pandemic started at their meeting? The refrigerated fridges were not that long ago and N95 masks are still impossible to find!

Tried posting before but not sure if it posted. I'm a new poster on this thread and I'm pretty sure the policy is to do whatever we feel comfortable doing.

I'll go to a meeting just like I've gone to all the meetings before if I must but I won't eat anyplace except in my hotel room.

A good solution would be to give everyone a required two week home study/quarantine before the meeting occurs. And, only those that can provide proof of vaccination should be able to come to the live meeting (and provide some small incentive for doing so).

If we care about one's health then we should prioritize the health of employees.

I am vaccinated but I don’t think it will protect me from all the different variants floating around out there. I want to retire but have about 20 years left. Do you think they would allow me to medically retire due to Covid phobia? I am also scared of spiders. I am also afraid of airplanes, not flying, just airplanes. They remind me of giant bugs. I lay awake at night thinking about a comet hitting the earth and destroying the vast majority of life on the planet. I am also afraid of windows.

I am beginning to develop a severe phobia to working. I enjoy staying at home, swimming in my pool, and taking the kids to do various activities. I think the company should do the right thing and let us all stay home permanently with full pay. Am I being unreasonable?

Ha! There are companies where reps are still pretty much staying at home and almost everything is virtual or on the phone with customers.

People here are out and about sometimes but I know in my area we have to wear PPE in the hospitals.

I could understand if people have issues travelling right now anywhere.

The job is no longer the same.
