Not every everybody is in the same mind set. I agree with this if you are young but if you are winding down in your career good management can outweight the hassles of an average day.

If you work in sales, no matter the age, you should always be hungry for money and rankings. If you want to "wind down" go work at walmart as a greeter or with the government.

Wait until you get older and wiser son. Then we can talk. Why work hard with this plan? It makes no sense. Throw me a true comp plan and I will close all day long.

I guess you missed my point.. You don't sound so wise for a self proclaimed seasoned rep. Why do you stay at a company where the comp plan is weak?My resume is out and looking for a place that rewards reps for selling and uses the comp plan to dangle a realistic carrot. If you were so wise, you wouldn't be hanging around a company waiting for a comp plan to change. They created the plan this way for a reason and i don't see it changing anytime soon. Emphasis is on Service Service Service.....

You sounds lazy and complacent to me. Complacent at a shitty outfit to work for, i may point out. Why waste time hanging around waiting to get back to selling?? There are plenty of jobs and companies that will pay people directly off what you close. Labcorp breeds losers and lazy people.

Great attitude if you wpork in an industry or position that pays residual income on previous sales. Here? You will be the first to go with that complacency. Seen it many of times at labcorp. People botice when you are just hanging around. They will come up with an excuse to cut your territory and refill with a young hungry 30 something

Really?? You must be pretty weak. I have my soul and nobody is molding me. If anything they have improved my golf game tremendously. This place is nothing but a paycheck. Don't let it bring you down.

Don't bank on that paycheck lasting long. Right before ends the three points the other poster posted, will smack you right in the face. Don't wait for it to occur and leave fot a CAREER. Don't hang around fir a paycheck

Yup. You are one of the smart ones! This plan is so stupid. Answer a few emails put in some bullshit call ins and process new accounts that open in your territory. I work about 3 hours Monday thru Thursday. Pulling in $150k+ for doing nothing. No pressure no silly reports. It's perfect.
 






Maybe these rumored RIFs on the other thread will cut the fat off the top and bring in some new blood that gives a damn! We need a new GM, VP and DO. Time to step into 2015!
