Corona Virus

I heard they had a confirmed case at one of the corporate buildings. I foresee MORE back orders on the horizon.

No confirmed cases in Warsaw. We did have someone who had a case of Norovirus (sent home obviously) and people were spreading/rumoring that it was Covid-19 but later confirmed that was not true. Most corporate employees have been told to work remote at this point. Looks like they are trying to break up the work force to limit the potential of one of our buildings being quarantined or shut down.

curious whether it is impacting anyone in the field with regard to facility access? Any hospitals keeping reps out or starting to push to keep them out or to otherwise limit the staff and/or amount of non-employees in the OR?

Interesting the varying message/framing received from executive leadership as warsaw non-essentials were directed to work from home.

Hanson: Please be safe. If you can work from home, please do.

Manufacturing: Top priority is safety of our people and sterility of our products. We are implementing such-and-such to help ensure our people are, and stay, healthy - including mandatory working from home if you are able.

Quality: MEET YOUR METRICS! THIS IS NOT A VACATION!!!!1!11!!!

Let’s face it - if you had to pick a function, isn’t Quality the one area that could use some time to work some things out?? On the real though, I’d guess that every company in the industry (and other industries for that matter) are trying to figure how it’s possible to balance the support for employees/families and still delivering revenue/managing cash flow and survival. I can’t imagine that the pressure to perform is greater anywhere than in the sales force, who works on commission and is faced with cancelling cases. Walk in our shoes, salaried Quality dude.

It’s too little too late. ZB is fucked. We are all fucked. Embarrassing for a supposedly life science company in the face of the greatest health crisis we’ve ever faced. Not surprising that the company would put profits over human life if you’ve worked here longer than a week.

I know this is the most credible website - but have we heard anything from ZB in regards to this? The distributor level needs support from the mother ship we make so much for. Can't keep financial connections to the reps/support staff without cases..and case load is reduced to nothing.

I've heard other direct companies are keeping their reps financially complete during this..and it is not a loan.

It's not about you, its about the price of the stock. Don't be naive, they spout BS about being a destination workplace, but that's just for Wall Street consumption. Now we know who they really are.

REVEALED!

When will zimmer biomet access their business. We make elective surgery products. How long can we keep manufacturing products not being used. What is the protocol for the confirmed case in building 5?
