Corona Commissions

Hey All,
A competitive extremity company rep here. What is Stryker doing for you guys? Our company is small enough that they may take our guidance (probably not but can have a shred of hope). Currently, they (my company) are floating a draw for 100% commissioned reps but that sucks. Assuming everybody loses bonuses and profit share etc, sales is shouldering the burden disproportionately.

What in the actual fuck just happened today? Did Paul and crew just tell the entire organization that it’s taking another pay cut once we get out of this Covid deal? The company winning with Mako? Covid aside...if you’ve been successful selling Mako into your accounts you are totally screwed. You’ve sold yourself out of a job when the expenses associated with the MAKO business become your burden. If you have 3M in business and half of it is Mako then you are going to be on the hook for probably 2 MPS. 1 OSS. Meaning you are going to be covering 150K of OSS/MPS pay. Ok. Ok. Let’s say 100K conservatively. You’re left with 80K for having brought the company 3M of business. Or you could’ve just kept Mako out of your territory, ran a 2.5M territory by yourself and made 150K. And found other ways to grow your business without Mako. You don’t like it? Go somewhere else. Wait, didnt we all just have to sign a new non compete agreement last week?

You didn't "have to" sign the agreement. Stop your whining.

Ok if you didn’t “have to” sign it, what other option did they give you tough guy?
Don't know, don't care...I don't work for Stryker. Likely result would have been dismissal I guess. The point is, you didn't "have to" sign...you had a choice to not sign and get fired or sign, stay on and get screwed. Either choice, you are miserable.

Elective cases get the go ahead again. I hope most of you waited before signing that ridiculous non compete. Rather 2 months of low/no pay then 2 years of my balls in a vice

Stryker going to have a really hard time getting 50 people in Colorado to sign that non compete after trying to force out their trauma distributor. Especially when Synthes is offering guarantees.

Ok douche. The truth is I didn’t sign shit. A lot of good men did though. Younger guys who may not feel like they are in a position where they can just walk away.

It doesn’t take away from the fact that was the worst call in my 20 years at Stryker. There has been consistent failure in the past few years at Stryker to get control over this albatross called Mako. It is collapsing the company. If I’m Lobo I’m selling Mako to my worst enemy and biggest competitor. Let them bleed.

Herein lies the problem, someone makes a bad decision...maybe David Floyd? Stryker has embraced a culture of middle managing yes-men which does not tolerate any form of opposition. Everyone follows the lead. Every manager follows the guy ahead of him hoping one day to move up the ranks like a good soldier. Puts on a smile and tells the guy up the chain how great everything is. Overly optimistic and blind to everyday realities and the impact of bad decisions beyond 2-3 years. Afraid to naysay for fear of being labeled a distractor.

Then when shit starts to hit the fan everyone gets the axe...the entire leadership team gets axed. Quite remarkable when you think about leadership turnover from a company that has consistently been outperforming it’s peers. Who wants to leave a winning team? Who fires a winning leadership team? MAKO Capital VP quits recently?
Smoke and mirrors.

Getting screwed in MD and PA too. Just heard Texas is opening up next week... no end in sight for the East Coast
Because the liberal East coast Governors are following their orders from the DNC to sabotage the country. The states that will open up will be less progressive, let’s say. It should be determined locally, not Federally. Period. Watch the tidal wave of openings soon and the demand for services, etc soar.

What are all you Stryker meatheads doing when you can’t go to the gym and juice? It will be funny seeing scrawny little boys try to open boxes when they come back from this hiatus.

Are you serious? What flavor GOP Kool aid are you drinking? While Dems are definitely faultless in all of this, Trump and some Republican politicians initially downplayed the threat, said it would go away like a miracle (15 to 0 cases) and recommended going out to restaurants (Nunes)... It's all on tape. Delay and inaction has caused unnecessary hardships and deaths.
