Cook GI and Endoscopy

Oh sorry, I thought you saw. I'm referring about the leadership that's been running the entire division into the ground. I wonder if they'd still be around if this were another medical device company.

Although a three year term is a bit aggressive, if I were CEO, I'd most certainly remove the VP of the endoscopy division and the North American sales manager. Part of a strong, dynamic organization is upward movement and cross-training of their middle and sender management. With this SBU, there has been ZERO change with the regional managers (except one who was moved to a modified unsubstantiated training role), the N.A. sales manager and the VP of world wide sales for years now. Without a doubt, different leadership would lead to different decisions…which might actually benefit the organization.

Touche' have to agree with previous post. Stale, care-less leadership at the top. Obvious RM cronyism with no upward mobility for reps. Do we even have a marketing head? Our recent pay-hike so overdue, much like telling an account that we can lower prices after screwing them for years. Change needed like a few a years ago.

Have an upcoming interview. I'm assuming that this division is similar to the others I've read about on this forum...base around $60 with maybe a 5k bonus potential? Is that bonus broken up quarterly or do you just get it at the end of the year? Does GI and Endoscopy carry a pager?

I want to get into device and out of pharma. I make about 65k in pharma. Do bigger device companies hire reps from Cook that do well? Any thoughts? Thanks.

Ok, this post started 10 years ago. Has this division changed any? Is the compensation still the same? How tough is the interview process? I too do not have a device background, I am currently pursuing a district manager position for Endoscopy. Any current feedback will help.

Everybody (well obviously not all) knows that each division is about $60-$65 base plus $5-10k annual bonus opportunity. This is an entry level gig with the possibility to seriously limit your options if you don't play it right on your next jump.
