You are the one who isn't facing reality the grass isn't always greener and someday you have to stop following RSL...now go out tomorrow and try to sell something.

I SO AGREE WITH THIS! ITS EVERYONE'S CHOICE TO ACCEPT OR NOT, BUT IHAVE DECIDED TO LOOK FOR A NEW JOB. I PREFER A SMALL COMPANY ENVIRONMENT.

[UOTE=Anonymous;5039194]It's big pharma. I challenge anyone from the Cadence sales force that can list anything good about being Mallinckrodt now with the exception of one benefit - a 401k match. Of course they are going to say "we have no intention of changing anything" now, but as everyone knows it will just get worse over time. If we all wanted to work at a big pharma company, there are so many other companies with greater reputations in pharmaceuticals with NOVEL compounds and a rich R&D that gets respect from physicians. Over the next several months, paperwork and policies will be added to justify several jobs from various departments from Mallinckrodt.

If they cared anything about us, they would be able to make the benefits happen at a faster pace, but this is typical of big pharma. It's not like they haven't had a lot of time to think about this. Yes, I agree. What about the car issue. We call need to know these things now from a personal financial standpoint.

Lets looks at this logically. Is RSL going to move? NO. I do agree with the other comments he may act like everything is okay until he finds another paying job. We would all do this. He may even have to get an apartment in St. Louis because he certainly isn't going to move his wife to St. Louis. This would all be temporary until a new job is found on the west coast. Likewise for the marketing team. Scott, Christy, etc. will not move and I am certain they are all using this time looking for new positions. Other great people like Rye aren't going to move. I bet at most 2 people will stay in Marketing at best. They skirt the San Diego issue because they are not going to keep San Diego. All the administrative positions will be eliminated.

An earlier comment was very poignant. Outside of this purchase, would you interview for Mallinckrodt? I'd be willing to bet most, if not all, would tell the recruiter THANKS BUT NO THANKS.[/QUOTE]
