Don't know if I woud buy the car or not. But, I would rather have a nice new car for the last several months to a year than a 3 y/o car with 100+ K miles on it. That's all I meant. Hopefully I'll be getting many more nice new cars to drive for Genentech. I've been using company gas for going on 16 years now and would hate for that to change

Just spoke to fleet Wed. Only have 4 choices this order period. They are VW Jetta sport, VW Pasatt TDI, Volvo A3 TDI (Hatchback) and Prius. You will have an option to wait and order the next order period when there will be additional choices. The Escape is off the list until the 2013 model is out (can't remember the reason). They have decided to upgrade the ammenities on the level 1 cars (rep cars). They said the resale value is higher and they are better cared for if they have leather interior. I am getting the VW Pasatt. Upgraded ammenities include all lether seating, sunroof, and soft touch control panel. The Pasatt is actually a pretty nice car especially with leather and sunroof. Order emails were supposed to have been sent out today, however, I didn't receive mine. My advice is to order now if you are in primary care incase the decision is made to let us go in March. This might be your last chance to order. If I'm going down, I'm at least going to have a new car!

Volvo A3 or Audi A3?... no more Volvo S40?
 






Roche, what numb nuts would want to work for Roche!? Even though Roche bought Genentech, Genentech still operates on their own, thank God, Roche would ruin Genentech! I took the option of getting a car allowance
 






Sorry, Audi A4. No more Volvo S40. The Pasatt is nicer anyway. My daughter has my wife's old S40. It's nice but wat to small especially the back seats. The Pasatt has a lot mor leg room in the back seats. I like the interior of the Pasatt better, but I'm compairing to a 2005 Volvo.

Where have you been. Genentech was becoming more Roche-like prior to Roche taking over. The old Genentech is DEAD and may it RIP.
 






Genentechs cars are much better than Roche cars. I work on the Roche side and we don't get any choice like Volvo or Audi!!! I'm lucky to have what I got. I wonder if Genentech will start using the same fleet services as Roche
 






There are no Genentech cars. Just Roche cars. Genentech gives you an allowance. Roche does have Volvo cars. I had one several years ago. The choices change every year but that is normal.
 






Here's the latest choices that will change again in January! Audi A3-diesel, Ford fusion, VW Jetta and Passat, one of them is a diesel maybe both. Just got off the phone with HLR Service Corp. for Wheels DriverInfo! Volvo and Escape are gone for good!!

I'm just curious if anyone knows what type of cars an RPM can get? I'm a CS right now (interviewing for a RPM position) and heard that RPM's get the same level cars as a DM does... does anyone know what the current choices are? Last year, the Volvo S60 was one of the choices. Nice car. Hope it is still on the list.
 






Not sure the manager level choices for this order period but my manager ordered last January and got a loaded out Ford Escape Hybrid. Not sure if that is still an option but doubt it since they took it off as an option for reps due to some sort of issue with Ford (Not Genentech). I was told they might bring back the Escape for reps when the 2014 models come out but that might have changed.
