Collegeville

CV will not surive for long. It is nothing but a business transition site. If Pfizer does not ramp up research and continue as a research site not much hope for any long term. CV south wing second floor ppl have been told they are gone, same with globle security. CV's only hope is to get research back. North with HTS and G-Map could stay in operation with what ever remains from south wing chemistry. Either way it is increasing site head count and will cost boo coo money. Time will tell when they announce R&D sites...

Pfizer's Specialty Business Unit will be headquartered there. This includes, Psychiatry, Opthalmics, Oncology, Institutional Sales. Don't know all the buildings there, but there will still be offices there.

I work in a marketing support group in Collegeville, we've been told full speed ahead also. We have not heard a peep from our Pfizer friends in NY, it would be nice to feel like we're even on their radar screen.

Field Sales was NEVER told they would be full steam ahead. That's just naive to even think that. Collegeville will survive. There will be a lot of people there with Specialty HQ and moving Great Valley, 200 and 400 buildings.

Collegeville folks needs to remember that along with the portfolio review over the next 60-90 days there is also an ongoing "Talent Review." While a person may have been "Mapped" to a specific business unit there is no guarantee that a position will be there for them once the talent review is completed. Full steam ahead may mean "we'll get around to de-selecting you later."

Bogus post from someone who does not have a freekin clue. Pfizer Specialty includes Opthamology, Hemophilia, Psychiatry, Institutional. Does not include oncology as that is a separate BU and has already been told it will be run out of NY after a transition time.

yes Oncology isn't in Specialty, but the post is accurate. Specialty Business Unit will be HQed out of Collegeville. Everyone got the email with all these announcements.

YEs, I agree that is one possible meaning, and I am not niave enough to trust management. I have already been through a surprise 100% staffing reduction and have no intention of getting caught with my pants down (I am planning for the worst). I was simply pointing out that the person who indicated that the south buidling was currenty being vacated is inaccurate. While I am dealing with inaccuracies, I would also like to point out the lab areas in the old RPR section of the buidling were never office areas. I was there in the RPR days. The RPR section is almost the same as it was back then.

Brace yourselves! They are not going to tell you anything until it happens! It is too disruptive to the operations.

Just one question and I am off Cafe Pharma for good..Just want to know if that jackass Bill Mcelroy got what he deserved..

Thanks for any update..
