Large Pharma buys small Pharma except in the case of lowly ACOR where even they saw no upside for commercial or pipeline products.

Given that MeTooDopa was a palliative med with minimal to no use, I’d town down the typical Pharma mantra of saving lives. At best you cost a few payers a bunch of money for a modified generic.

Maybe Reverse Gear Ronnie can get a Nobel for innovative ways to BS the investment community

Metz is a POS family owned company no one has ever heard of. It’s not like BMS, PFE, MRK or NVS bought out ACOR for billions. Enough money changed hands to close out some debt. Period.

Catalent bought manufacturing capacity nothing more. That deal was the signal that even Rikers Ronnie didn’t believe in the future of his generic product. If there was a market, it made more sense to be as vertically integrated as possible.

ACOR was the modern day equivalent of a sailing vessel run aground, throwing off anything they could to try and reflows the ship.

You thought ACOR was world class and MeTooDopa was a blockbuster, so your ignorance of the insignificance of both Merz and the acquisition can be excused.

As for your fantasy bidding war, Merz bought the product with the technology, the manufacturing was sold off to keep Ronnie afloat and the pipeline was all on hold due to lack of money, lack of interest in the technology and late to market indications.

It is good that RC is aware of his wealth as it will be a point of discussion with regulators since it was gained by lying to investors.
