CNMD STOCK?

That's a very good question, and I've been wondering the same thing. I'm pretty sure there's no new products in the pipeline. Q2 sales were worse than Q1. Is Conmed going to get bought? That's the only reason I can think of for why the stock is going up.

two years ago the price was 45 now 48, what run up in price are you talking about, there is no pipeline, just insiders trying to fluff the story so some sucker will buy

The M&A guys would need to be drunk off their a$$ to recommend $1.5b for this POS. Sales force is a disaster, the entire portfolio needs a major refresh, and the management team hasn't moved the needle in years. The company thay buys Conmed will be the laughing stock of the industry.

There is only one plausible reason for Conmed to be trading at a 63 PE and at this price, especially if you consider the performance over the past 2 years, and that is the market believes Conmed is a candidate for a merger. If a deal were to take place at this price, with a premium, and the debt, it would be for 3 times sales which would be a fair price for Conmed. Now if you want to talk about crazy, Conmed paid over 5 times sales for it's last acquisition, now that was crazy. CH must have got a kick back from the sellers to get a deal done like that.

Oops, another lousy earnings report. CNMD was trading after hours at $45. Might touch $40 tomorrow. US sales still suck and Surgiquest was the only bright spot. WTF? Board will want a few executive's heads. Who will be next to "pursue other opportunities"?
The orthopedic engine that used to carry the company continues to lose market share. No new products and the lack of guidance from the AC team will spell the end for this company.

Bingo on the stock price. Next up, heads on a pike.

WTF Hartman? CNMD stock at 40.38 today - 7.20. You and all of your cronies that you brought on board are LOSERS! Hey board of directors/ majority shareholders how long are you going to let this shit go on?

I guess the only thing now is to determine Hartman's severance package. I love it when Wall Street's "Smart Money" is proven to be so very stupid. They got rid of management that seemed to know how to run an undercapitalized operation and put out a decent return and brought in a clown that apparently knew nothing.

However, I hate what this is doing to Utica. The city didn't deserve this.

Down 9 pts, 18.5% and over $250 million in shareholder value now. Either Conmed is losing share to it's competitors or the Senior Managers are the worst forecasters and planners in Corp. America. This is 8 years in a row that Conmed has missed it's numbers. Hartman has missed every number he has put out to the analysts since he's been here. I read the transcript for the conf. call yesterday and even the analysts are asking WTF with your forecasts. Just like last year when Conmed missed big in the second half of the year. These guys are all CPA's running Conmed. How can you be such terrible forecasters? The ortho business is in serious trouble. I thought Hartman and his cronnies were all Ortho guys? They were supposed to know what their doing because of their Stryker background? Obviously, NOT! How can a legit Board of Directors continue to allow Hartman to run this company into the ground? I'm starting to believe that Stryker didn't let Hartman go as CEO because of the 4 sexual harassment lawsuits, but brcause he has zero clue what he's doing.

Neither did the previous management deserve this...you obviously know what the problem is...UNDER CAPITALIZED....so who do you blame for that?
