What else would you expect from on line courses? Just pay your fee and you are certified. Unfortunately for techs, salairies are coming down to be more in line with the national average and starting salaries are extremely low.

Because of this, many techs nationwide have pursued entirely different career paths.

Clinical Techs here are extremely overpaid for the education 90% of them have.

Thank the CLO and her shadow for the salaries of the clinical techs. They think people will be happy and more easily fooled if they pay them more money. Almost like hush money.

Techs arcross the nation are feeling the squeeze. All labs are going through cutbacks. CEO's and CFO's are now looking at techs as bottom of the barrel, easily replacable non asset employees.

Many med techs want to be treated as one of those nameless workerbees in the background. They don't want to be treated as professionals becuase they can't handle the information. I just dislike med techs a hair less than Bostwick Lab.

The truth is, they are just that. As we know, there are several here with only a GED education. The industry and payors know that the certifications one can aquire with minimal effort and payment is merely an HR weeding tool for liability purposes.
