Class of 2013?

Which one? How about some initials. EP is solid. The other 2 are disasters.

How is Erika "solid"? Does that mean she's not leaving? Does that mean she's capable? Does that mean she's doing well and her customers like her? Need more specifics. BTW - is anyone really "solid" at ISI? Can't ANY person be dismissed at any given time? Just because the rep feels they're doing well, doesn't mean they're not gone tomorrow.

All true.

My favorite, when you'd see any isi rep, mgr, or director compliment each other on their cuff links. Which typically then led to what car they are driving, or boat they are buying, or other self absorbed luxury.

I'll never forget hearing about candidates that were turned down simply b/c they didnt look the part (ie. didnt wear cuff links during final interview).

Or what about the guy that was forced to get a hair cut at the wwsm few years ago (it wasnt that bad). And when avp didnt think it was short enough, he told the csd to make him to go back and get it cut again. (it was below the avp to go say something directly to the rep). As if it was some kind joke to all of them.[/QUOTE

F'ing Cuff Links....So, that is where it stems from...those intuitive clowns that came over to Mako are always sporting tacky things..

Folks I feel for you all working for Intuitive. I stumbled on this board accidentally. I was called several times about interviewing over the years and declined each time for the reasons you are all writing about. Each time I asked if J Mac was still there. So my answer was no.

What you all need to understand is Jerry Mac has been at this forever and thrives in this culture. All pre-avamed. It will never change. It has always worked for him and always will. This stems back from the old glory days of Automated in Florida then when it rolled into Auto Suture then US Surgical. This is where your current training and culture originated. Many of you were still in grammar school. No offense intended just saying this is not new.

Mr Hirsch, Bob Knaar, Carlos, Jerry Mac- they had an unbelievable run changing the game of OR sales. Legends in the biz. Mr Hirsch was on the cover of Time magazine. It was a dynamic wild time. Those of us that survived and learned have all done well. That said- the culture became toxic and that is what JM knows. Management by numbers and fear. Not by relationships and doing what is right. He has been at this since the late 80s. He ain't doing it cause he needs the cash. He made gobs of money at USS long before Intuitive. It's about winning at all costs any way possible. Tigers don't lose stripes.

So for those of you still there or wondering why- that is the basis.
