I think every man should be circumsized just for their own health and the health of the women they're having sex with but still, like abortion, it's the parent's choice. I could also never go down on an uncircumsized man - could anybody here? Honestly?

I didn't circumsize my sons because I don't believe in cutting away healthy tissue for purely aesthetic reasons. It hurts and it's unnecessary. Didn't plan it that way, just simply could not hand over my infant to someone who wanted to slice him.

Also, when a man has an erection you can't tell whether he's circumsized or not. The foreskin pulls back. And if you were giving a blowjob, I think he'd be hard. No problem there.

So, since I don't have a religious reason to do it, we didn't. If my boys want to be circumsized when they get older to "fit in," I will gladly take them to the doctor, where they will have anesthesia and pain meds afterward. But it will be their decision not mine.

I think you were honest in your approach and what's done is done. For others who haven't yet made that decision, remember 2 things. 1) fitting in isn't so much about looking like an anteater in the locker room (guys can fight their way out of that one and every guy needs to learn how to fight) it's more about the wonderful experience of oral sex. We've already heard from several women here who've said there's no way they'd suck and uncircumsized cock but we've yot to hear from a woman who prefers sucking an uncircumsized cock vs a circumsized one 2) pain - as an infant you haven't really categorized sensations yet so yes, there's probably a fleeting 'sting' but it's over quickly and I don't know of one man who remembers being circumsized as an infant. On the other hand being circumsized as an adult is horrendous - I know several who've done it and know no one who does not remember it. They all say it was horrific.

Also, many grown uncircumsized men wish they were circumsized but how many circumsized ones wish they hadn't been? Anyone know any?

So just remember, especially if you're a woman who's experienced the joys of oral sex with the man you care about, you're trading saving your son from a fleeting moment of pain as infant (like getting an ear pierced) for a lifetime of very possibly never having that experience.

Someone made a good point about the fact that women make a choice for a man that may make oral sex not an option - coversely, what if a man made a decision about your genitalia thet removed the enjoyment of oral from your life.

Women always want us to wash our hands, etc before we touch them. They do not want to put a liplock on a smegma trap.
