There is obviously going to be another realignment/rightsizing. All the sfdc data collectionwas clearly necessary to justify territory changes. More white space, more inside sales, fewer called on offices, fewer vpc positions necessary. Higher payout/incentives (top dollar margins and contests) paid to distribution will enable them to do the work of a vpc. Instead of shelling out approx $100K to an employee, we can get the same profit just by beefing up $$$ available to distribution.

This attitude is exactly why AAH is a sinking ship. As a former AAH rep who is now doing extremely well with another company, I'm realizing just how screwed up AAH was while I was there. The rift between sales and marketing/distribution is NOT NORMAL. Andrea is very obviously not cut out for her job, in that she is incapable of providing the leadership necessary to build a cohesive business unit.
Until the company decides to stop handcuffing their reps, they will not see success. Companies that realize that EVERYTHING should support sales are successful. With the amount of admin work reps at AAH get, it's evident the company believes that sales reps exist to support marketing/distribution/home office.
Current reps who hang out on this site, at least talk to a recruiter. There are options out there. Luckily, big Abbott is a great name and a great resume builder. Don't be afraid to take the first step.

The guy basically stated facts. Why are you so sensitive? Must be because you've just realized you're in a dead-end job. If you deny that AAH is a poorly run organization, you're either in denial or living in Abbott Park.
