Did you hear that? That noise was the shudder that just went through all the middle managers when it was announced that Cepheid is being acquired. The former Beckman reps has seen this movie before: Danaher comes in, whacks all the management layers, changes the comp plan and trims the fat.
If you're a DM, RD or VP at Cepheid, it's time you get your resume updated and get in touch with the recruiters because your time is limited.
They'll keep the reps around, just not the redundant layers of management.

sounds like someone has sour grapes.
This company has the best technology in the world. yes, it's expensive and not an easy sell but your job is to convince people to buy. If you can't do that, mgmt won't tolerate incompetence and will find someone who can get the job done.

I was surprised at the shake up for BM and RK. They'll probably get a little taste of their own medicine but I think it's good in the long run.

What are their ideas and what they actual wants?Please let me know.

Get ready for the heads to role......Now that the acquisition from Danaher is complete, Glenn, Peter, Jenkins, Serber, Jeremy, and others better have their resumes updated..........
A very reliable source tells me that the first 2 to be pink slipped will be Jenkins and Serber. They're the definition of middle management and are prime pickings for the reduction in management layers and headcount as is Danahers' modus operandi.
