Cephalon Contract

Just to let you all know that they have known for weeks that the Cephalon contract is being downsized. Because I have known for over 3 weeks. Whitney and upper Inventiv have known as well because that is where I recieved the info. Contract will be down to 200 reps 24-25 AM and the Regional are all gone from Cephalon.

Good luck
Quick math that's 8 reps per AM. Wow what a waste.

What a joke this was. I got cut. They didn't look at numbers or tenure. Cephalon gave them a map, one similar to a few other small pharma companies. They chopped the rest. But, I have to admit, selling a Tier 3 drug, with no real support & making decent numbers (ranking wise) I feel like I could sell just about anything now. Good drug, $hitty company & plan.

If I get retained to stay on this contract, I will/am looking elsewhere asap. Performance is not appreciated or rewarded. Whitney fills squares. Do what is asked of you. Do not take initiative to run/improve a business. Attorneys that sign the deals, not Whitney are the true players. Any one of us could be a Whitney. He is merely a spokesperson for a second tier/outsourcing corporation. What policies does he set? What initiatives does he take to profitably run/improve a businesss? How does he improve managed care? Whitney "How will the reps who stay on this contract be better off?" My best memory is our leader being embarrassingly hammered, attempting to publicly speak at a meeting last year.

Have a nice weekend....

Very well said. Let's not forget about other characters like his sidekick "CT" whose role in this whole fiasco is still a mystery.

They sure do know how to pick them! picking cephalon for a partnership, what a colossal mistake

You had a good job for two years!!!!!! Earned money!!!!!!!! Some people would love to have this job. Some of us would still like to be employed, you have a job, how about some sensitivity, you ungrateful B.

Does Inventiv offer a way for reps to "rate" their manager? First year for me was 2010, so I am not sure what the protocol is. I got my annual report and was wondering if we have a chance to submit an annual report on our managers?

As said before: 1. Geography 2. % of targets already called on 3. performance 4. tenure

if 1 & 2 were a tie and you've had a warning letter, you were gone. Geography and more importantly % of targets drove this thing...

Bull$hit.
It was territory volume & tenure with InVentiv.
What they said on the phone was a feel good smoke screen...

My advice is to add comment to the 'feedback' section. They will send their own copy over to corporate anyway so no need to bother.

Interesting: Amrix team not even allowed in the same city as Cephalon direct hire reps. Fly in one afternoon, fly home after 5 the next day. Torture. Could have handled it with a conference call or just an e-mail. Very strange indeed.

I know for a fact that they DO NOT have any viable contracts in the works. I worked for them and know people there that are on the inside and have given me the information. They are a poorly run company that is very transparent when it comes to working with people. A lot is done by email and if you try to call them the phone system says you do not have authorization for this number. WTF? The Cephalon contract was a joke. They kept the people with the longest tenure but also had the highest salary. Be glad you're gone I know the car and check was nice but the travel on the HUGE territories and leaving family for days for overnights would be killer. They have not contacted any of the laid off reps with anything in the works BUT if you have 2-3 yrs of diabetes exp you can interview with BI contract. Those have been there for nearly a year to year and a half. Relax the restrictions and give some good people a job and get you some sales revenue for crying out loud. SO In closing InVentiv questionable company, take their car and paycheck, keep looking and get out. But before you leave get all of your money that they owe you because if you leave they will keep it saying that you didn't comply so they have the right to keep your money. Be careful.

Does anyone know InVentiv's policy for rep's resignation? If I give my two week notice tomorrow do I lose my health insurance immediately? I can't find any information about the procedure in the employee handbook. Serious replies, please!
