CC - Last Two Days

Is anyone working in the field on these last two days of CC?

I hope not.

The biggest decision I have to make to day is what time to have my first beer.

Gonna print out some stuff I need for my job search, clean out my desk, and pitch out all the junk I've accumulated over the years. If I get out, it will be to say goodbye to a few offices I've had a long-standing relationship with.

I did what I have been doing for the last five years at this job. I sat by the lake smoked a doobie, drank beer and listened to Howard Stern. I guess ill have to find a real job now.
Its been fun. Thanks Abbvie!

Make it ten years for me but sans the weed.
Glad I never did shit on this job because it makes no difference anyway. If I had actually worked hard, then I would be upset about the layoff.
The ones who truly believe all their pseudo hard work and ass kissing are going to get them back in the door are going to be very disappointed.

Keep that pay continuance coming! Thanks Abbvie!

I can't believe they paid me six figures a year to get high and sleep in my car for 5 years. That's half a million! Thanks Abbvie! Thanks for all the trips and 401K money also!

This is why contract is the future. They work hard and appreciate their job.

Not me. When I realized what a cheap company this was I said so long suckers. Perhaps a contractor in the third world would be appreciative. I'd agree with that. All the productivity metrics, the caste system, and lazy lifers pushing all their dirty work to the contractors will be welcomed there. Have fun.

Contract may be the future, but it's because the company using contractors saves on high-cost, long-term programs like pensions, and contracts usually have escape/termination provisions if things don't go as planned.
Contractors aid the bottom line, no more, no less.

But we contractors can only be screwed so far...That is unless we are very, very stupid. If you have a lot of stupid contractors it can work against the bottom line in the long run. Like I said, good luck with that.

Don't you worry your sweet little head about it, Honey. However lazy you were, you still managed to make more money for Abbott/AbbVie than they gave to you!
Think about that....

Hey, Buckey, take it easy there..... I was a "lifer", but not lazy. There are/were a whole bunch of us out there for 25 or 30 or 35 years that never pushed work aside or to someone else. For our entire adult lifetime, we did the job, going above and beyond. So don't be smearing those of us that put in a heck of a lot of overtime as a sales rep just to get the job done right.
Thank you.

Then I wasn't talking about you so I don't see the problem. Chillax yourself. So while you were doing your job did you ever do anything about getting those lazy lifers out of there, or did you just bobble your head and go along with the system. If you made efforts, kudos for you, but if not- I rest my case, Buckeyboy.

I work at the park and actually appreciate those of you that work hard and try to make a difference. Abbvie is a good company to work for- paycheck gets deposited, people are nice, and benefits are pretty good. It's called work for those of you that bitch. If it was all fun and games, you would be paying the company. I hope those of you with attitudes like this person find jobs internally or at least in your geographical areas with similar pay. Good luck.

I would hardly call your activities at AP "work". Half that place should be outsourced.

Good luck to you as well. It's always nice when those who use the revenue recognize those who bring it in.
