the reality is, the acquisition of a pharmaceutical start-up doesn’t usually take place until about 4-5 years after the lead product is launched... the expectation is that the start-up will screw the launch up initially in the first year, and start to find its footing around year 3-4. At which point, big Pharma will swoop in and gobble the company up...

So that rep currently driving around with 115k miles on their odometer will almost certainly get a nice new car. They should’ve been put in a new one around 65k-70k miles to effectively minimize the cost of the vehicle for the company—especially when the value of used cars is abnormally high.

Should the company be acquired, the rep will cash out on their shares. If they’re laid off they’ll more than likely get a decent severance package, and then go get a job at another Pharma company which will put them in a nice new car with a strong six figure income.

I’m so tired of the disrespect from home office people. Sales is the one that keeps the damn lights on here we are the ones that sell the products. We get treated like crap.

I heard the new cars that we get to order are straight up base models with zero upgrades. No heated seats, no electric liftgate, definitely no leather interior, nothing. What's up with that?

Look, it may seem petty TO YOU but we spend all day every day in our cars. They need to be comfortable, safe, and reliable. I get that you don’t understand because you are sitting at home right now in front of a computer in your pajamas, but small things like heated seats because some of us live in cold climates, or leather because it’s easy to clean and we have kids, or even an electronic liftgate because are in and out of the trunk all day, or remote start because again...climate may sound petty to you but it’s a big deal when you’re in your car all day.
I am sure that in your personal car you have most of these options if not all because they are convenient.
Let's not forget the car is mostly free we still have money out of each paycheck that goes towards that car.
So please sit down and shut up.
