I am not the previous poster that responded to you, but I think their point is we are still a bit of a separate entity so in a way it doesn't matter or necessarily affect us. You could say it matters though - it's actually a positive sign for us.

In some way, shape or form, we are cheaper replacements for those that may get laid off. I don't know if you have been paying attention to the market, but Lipitor is about to go generic and, as a result, Crestor sales are going to take a HUGE hit. It's inevitable and there's no way around it. But the company must still promote it, sell it, profit from it as much as they can. But it will be cost effective for them to use a contract sales force (many of us as good and experienced as their current direct reps). I think they are going to get us ramped up and out in the field and then let the direct AZ reps go (that only have Crestor in their bag) by the end of the year.

Pretty much correct - and i will tell you that you time you are on contract with the REAL az reps running around will be a living hell for you. Those reps are going to block you out so much - it aint gonna be funny. YOU will have to listen to thier direction- so in affect you will be their bitch for a while. But when you think that person or persons will prolly be gone - think again! AZ is going to get rid of some, but the good one will be reassigned/merged with the other divisions carrying 3 drugs - thus they still will be around- mind your manners and ur fine.

We are not overlapping with them directly...our role is to support and call on the lower deciles and AZ calls on the higher docs...they won't be blocking us out of anything. It is people like you that make these relationships difficult. We are all out there to acheive the same goal, so get off your high horse and be thankful for the extra help and work together.

Look here sister- i dont need help; im ranked #1 in my region 2 years running and CoE last year. Word to you and your cronies. Do as we say-- and we have the lower teirs accounts wrapped up as well. Think im kidding - i have already got my top doctors (my personal friend) to avoid taking samples from you. You scrubs are not coming in blowing what ive worked to create for the last 7 years.

Just wait till you are laid off! It it will be coming and if you think performance has any weighting, you are wrong! You will be begging in this economy to have a contract job. You are a loser to think you are better than people working in a contract job. You are one lay off from begging for a contract job. By the way, most contract reps have more experience and many, like myself, have more education than you. With your attitude, I wouldn't be suprised if you are gone soon.

we will not interact w/the lazy non existing AZ peeps. we do our thing. and make good money. You cost the company$$$$$$$$$$$$ but are you worth it? I doubt it.

My parents are proud. I made way more in this position than $60k due to large bonuses every quarter from being a good sales rep. By the way, I am happy too. This is something that I am doing due to my own choice. I could have a job making more money, but also more hours and stress. I have made $200k a year and also did not have a life. That is not my life choice right now with my family. Everything in life is not about money and I will always have my education. What about you?
