get in touch with HR, nobody ever picks up the phone.

Thought the home office was "burning the midnight oil."

They can not even return a call.

How is that different from any other department at any other time? If they didn't care when they did have jobs, they are not going to care when they are losing their jobs.

If you were trying to get in under the wire to opt out, you may have already been out of luck anyway (too many volunteers by last week). Guess those that were still on the fence made a quick decision after seeing the disaster in Japan so HR was deluged with volunteers on Monday-people were lined up outside HR staff offices all day-and now they have way more employees exercising the option than they ever thought in their wildest "you shold be happy to have a job" dreams (we all know how dysfunctional and delusional those managers in HR really are).

Guess they're too busy now to answer their phones as they scramble like rats in a cage to draft those severance letters. Too bad.....

I have only heard about 15 or so that opted out. Do you know of a higher amount??? I would love to get an accurate number on those who chose the package.
