Its amazing how much crap is on this site. Yes they are selling and no one is going to disclose the price on cp. centers implanting this are seeing a larger than expected acceptance re pt population receiving the device. All you haters were dead wrong.

i'm doubting a doctor moves to a device based on 322 patient clinical trial. especially with complications rates of 5.8%. remember, that's 5.8% in a study (supposedly good implanters).

BSX is bidding a 25% uplift on pricing over their ICD device pricing. Hmmmm more $ for what? Less features, shorter longevity....Longer charge times? Remote monitoring?

Good point. Traditional ICDs have such low complication rates that docs will probably prefer sticking with trusted products like Riata/Durata and Fidelis.

Seems like lead erosion under the skin would be an issue, too.


Put in a Reliance lead with the Gore covering and anyone's ICD and you'd be miles ahead of this Cameron Health for therapy and reliability --- better long-term patient outcomes.

Linox Smart (Biotronik) is another excellent lead option with ANY can. And, smaller than the Guidant lead.

DF4 hasn't taken over the market last time anyone has checked. Let's make sure there's no issues with the sensing portion of that lead because as of now ........there's no fix except to replace the whole lead (as opposed to adding a rate sensing lead for $500 and getting outta there).

Am I dealing with a 4 yr old here? DF4 is industry standard. You are not qualified to argue this point. BIO is known as a pacemaker company only. You can't compete with a fat LV lead and no DF4..period...now go away mental midget.
