She could always stand in front of us and spread BS, but could not stand in front of us with the real facts today. Still waiting for the promised 30 60 90 day plan from 2012.

I was contacted by a VP from Castle Medical. They want to talk to Calloway salespeople. Contact them if you need the job.

A letter to Gail Marcus (a CEO that thinks like a CFO) & Bob Ricci (a CFO that thinks he is the CEO):

True leaders would have looked out for their employees. Not left them out on the street with 1-week's notice and no severance. The secret meetings down the hall these past few months and not once did you think about the loyal employees that stuck by the company. I'm sure you both planned your exit strategy while squeezing every last bit out of us. All you could muster up in the end was a two minute script that ended with "if you have any questions go to your managers." Well, the managers received the news the same way everyone else did so they didn't have any answers. You treated us like crap while we were employed, and you treated us like crap when we were laid off. You expected us to respect you because of the title next to your name. But respect is earned. Shame on you, Shame on Ampersand (Jared) for not stepping in, and Shame on anyone that would ever consider employing fake-it-till-you-make-it micromanagers like Gail Marcus & Bob Ricci.

Amen!!!!!! Lots of loyal employees you screwed by lying to them. We all know the truth about why your doors are closing. I hear orange is the new black, I sure all senior leadership will look great in orange

[Calloway] put out a statement saying the company is closing its doors “due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the company’s control.”

Gross incompetence and indifference are not the same as "unforeseen circumstances". We told you what was wrong before it even happened, and you thought you could bluff your way through it. People's lives were at the other end of our testing, and you could give a flying f*ck. I hope your creditors come after you and Ampersand in a criminal suit. A class action civil suit by wronged patients would be appropriate too.

Multiquant- bahahaha! You're a joke of a so called CEO GP. GP, you and Rob have ZERO leadership capabilities. Ampersand why you hired her and did nothing as she ran the company into the ground is incredibly disappointing. Thought Ampersand was better than this. Classless and thoughtless ending.

Meant to say Bob NOT Rob!

Gail,

Transparency. That's what you sold us when Ampersand bought Calloway. Ampersand is who hired you. Who ever made that descicion at Ampersand should be fired.

Transperency is what we will have when the class action lawsuit comes against you and Ampersand. Get Rob on speed dial... unless he is with us.

Your decision making caused this company's demise (I apologize maybe it was the "leadership group"... alright Rob your out). You had a cash cow at your hands. You submitted to overwhelming greed... and you paid. There was a large scale balance in your hands (think lady justice blindfolded). You forced the the scales in favor of the bottom line. You neglected your #1 resource. PEOPLE.

"We will still keep a select group of laboratory staff on after Oct. 16th to help finish patient samples... along with a select group of billing"... go fuck yourself.

The people who worked for you are the smartest, most dedicated, and forward thinking group any company could have wished for. Sports analogy: you are the Anti-Bill Belicheck... you took a group of winners and made them suck.

You attached to an idea (multi?) and forced it. No half time re-evaluation. No self awareness. No hard internal evaluation. You saw the ROI and blocked out everything else. Shame on you.

How much was your golden parachute worth? Did you even once think about your employee with a new house and 3 kids... your single mother struggling to pay rent. Are you a socialpath? Weirdly enough I hope so, because fuck... you are carrying the weight of 240 employees losing their jobs on your shoulders. As you should.

I hope you wear that weight ... every day until you die. You let go some of the smartest people this industy has to offer. Your business vision drove off even more. It seemes like you punished people who challenged you. Questioned your direction. Nice open door policy.

Hindsight is 20/20. Driving a 240 person company into the ground, in two years looks like a nose dive of a 747. I think we can all play monday morning quarterback and majority all agree.

I hope the so called leadership team does not plan on using "unforeseen circumstances" as the basis for not triggering the WARN act before this abrupt closure. This is the stuff that makes a jury have an easy deliberation.

GM said the only reason they were even able to stay open another week was because of one of the lenders. Pretty much sums up her reign at Calloway Labs. No business plan. No collaboration. No culture. No vision. Just throw sh*t up against the wall and let's see if it sticks. And she teaches a business class to college students?????? This has been a case study on exactly what NOT to do in business.

What happened to Multi-quant? According to our brilliant CEO it was going to change the industry. Next thing you know it is gone. Then we are having to re-report results 6 months later. And then the doors are being shut. Makes me think there is more to the story.
