CafePharma NCAA Pick-Em for 2012/13?

Personally, I prefer using the odds system. Otherwise most games are too fricken easy. Like shooting ducks in a pond.

Most folks who play CP Pick 'Em are seasoned vets with years of experience under their belts. I should hope that they do not take the easy road here and vote for straight picks w/o points. I feel as a group it would be beneath us. Sort of like a bicycle club allowing members to use training wheels on their rides. But that's just my opinion. And we are a democracy here.

What say you?

Points or it won't be no fun.

Oh, btw, Night Train.

No pre-season games here for practice and then arguing about whether the picks should be added to the regular season scores. Game day is Aug 30. We expect you to be in top form by the time you arrive for opening day. Pre-season conditioning is the responsibility of the individual, not the team. We are supportive of one another here at CP Pick 'Em but we are fiercly competitive too. None of us like to lose. But if there is one thing we hate more than losing, it's people who try to get over. That's why we have all the rules in place. And if there is a dispute Team CP Pick 'Em resolves it democratically. The majority rules.

Those are just some of the house rules. We will expound on the rules as we move closer to opening day.

LOL at the "terms and conditions" here. Am I applying for a credit card or am I picking a few football games? I see LSU's best player was kicked off the team. You never see big 10 players get in trouble like that.

You're not getting off to a very good start, Night Train. Change requires cooperation from both sides. We are open to accepting your new and improved persona w/o bearing any grudges or imposing any preconceived notions. From our perspective are just the new kid in town. And new kids always make or break their reputations by initial impressions. Let's play nice. I would rather not discuss Hairy. Let dead dogs lie.

I have been known to both sing and dance for skittles AND pay admission to see quality entertainment. The key word here is QUALITY.

Let's control our competitive spirit in 2012/13.

Being a dick over here is my CP personna. It's all in good fun dude. Hopefully, my old friend Fucktard welcomes me back with open arms. So far on the playground, I've managed to piss her off a time or two. Can't have that you know. Women that understand and know the game of football are a rare breed.

Bronco, I am definitely in as well. I agree with the rules that you have summarized and we established last season. I will do my very best to check everyone's picks. Please help me as you have done in past seasons by rechecking the spread and double checking the winners. I do have a couple of weekends that I am going to be traveling for work this fall and will do a better job to give you a heads up. If I have not said it before, I really really really appreciate you helping out with this. Looks like we are going to have a few new players this year with Night Train Lane participating. I guess Night Train is a Ohio State Fan? I love to see new players and appreciate the return of our past players.

Don't you think it is weird to not see Boise State in the pre-season Top-10 this year? I saw Kellen More last night playing in the Detroit Lions Vs. Baltimore Ravens Game. I did not get to catch much of it but is he playing backup QB to Stafford? I think Boise plays Michigan State this year right?

Bama, great to have you back. We thought you were MIA for the 2012/13 season and we'd have to improvise. Looking forward to Week #1, Chief. Let me know if you need any help.

Good luck with controlling Night Train. He'll try to run the show. I don't envy you. Keep a close eye on him. Don't let him cheat.

I told you as the end of last season that Boise would not be the same team this year. Only 7 return starters. Coach Peterson is one sharp cookie and you are going to see some creative football on 8/31. The Bronco's are only down by one TD in the pre-game points. Boise might shock you like they did with Georgia last year. Remember? I heard that Boise will use a 3 QB offense to confuse the Michigan State defense. Never count them out. Just when you do they'll shock you again. Those are some tough farmboys.

Kellen played much better against the Ravens than the Browns. He went 10-15 for about 100 yards. I knew that he would have a difficult time adapting. Going from college to the pros is a big transition. He just doesn't have the physical attributes. He's smart and knows the game. But it's doubtful that Detroit will keep 3 QB's on the active roster. Kellen will probably make the practice team - and if there's an injury - get moved up. But I think you will see him playing on Sunday afternoons in the years to come.

I see that USC edged out the Crimson Tide in the AP rankings. Do you think Bama will end up in the Top 10 this year? Sometimes the year following a big season turns into a letdown year. We'll be watching. Best of luck.
