I do not think Marketing is concerned with investor relations as much as you think.
Justin, Jeff, and Julian are for sure but that is because we were a venture capital and into public offering and now corporately held stock by many institutions.
To be honest this is the most diverse pharma company I have worked for.
The field sales team is 90% female
The leadership team is over 50% female
Every advisory board and working committee from the field is 90% female and minority
To be truthful is you are a middle aged white male you have no chance here. If you are a female of any demographic your future is extremely bright and if you are a true minority the door will open wide.
My guess is they tried the diversity hire already in St Louis and it failed. The middle aged female is next and will most likely be successful selling this drug anyway
