BRLI Amazing!

The days of our company being the leader in the lab industry as far as service and quality are now a thing of the past. As many of you know, the people who left, lost business, lost opportunities, people being questioned, and the overall culture of the company has been lost. It will only get more magnified once earnings for Opko are released. However it is not the fault of Opko, it is the old leadership, the 5 or 6 people that put all of us in this position for their own personal gain. Unfortunately, this is the same thing that goes on at all companies when they are taken over by larger institutions. Especially when the company being bought did business in much the same fashion as we did. Everything and everything was always on the table and discussed. We grew this business on the technique of "anything goes". This way of doing business eventually hits you in the ass and brings organization to their knees.

Does anyone feel that i have exaggerated or maybe not telling the full story?

You are spot on. Don't you think there is a reason Jane Pine Wood was hired? The government has been collecting data. It is just a matter of time until the big heads start rolling and jail sentences are issued. Sit tight.

Agree. Jane Pine Wood is here to clean house. No more "your patient won't get a bill", no more "professional courtesy", no more "client writeoffs". I'm tired of our sales reps giving everything away. can't we get business legally?

NO!

BTW, what the heck is Oasis and why was their name all over every PSC?

I think I know why, but would like to hear from the insiders?

Two blog entries in 4 months, amazing
After the initial butt kissers, what is there to post? It sucks now! OPKO purchase destroyed the momentum of BRLI. Too many pharmaceutical regulations now. Normal companies who have sales reps can do "things outside of the box" to move business. Golf, dinners, entertainment, etc. Now that BRLI is technically pharma rules and regulations constrict the way this business was growing. Labcorp and Quest already own the market, 4K is a dud. Down she goes! Thanks Frost!

Give GH a chance! This blog will change everything! What company has failed once the leader initiates a blog! It's 2009 people! Blogs are what makes things happen!! Amazing! When he leaves in 12 months (or sooner) you'll know how effective the Amazing blog was!

Henderson is a useless asshole. what is he going good to do? take us to the next level? we already dropped 10 levels. what is next? don't worry, we will find out from the blog. all positive.

The lawyer and the pharma crap has changed everything. I guess I'll just do my calls from home and maybe golf a little earlier than normal

we need to give gift cards again, write off deductible, and Co pays, go to nice dinners, supplies, loosen the rules a little this is not fun anymore. we need to get some business and make up some of that money. screw golf.

Spot on! Non-FDA-regulated BRLI (Dr G) selling out to FDA-regulated OPKO (Frost) killed the BRLI business. That #3 lab status CT likes to hang his hat on is quickly showing itself to be a simple hat hook! Quest and Labcorp love the mistake BRLI made! 400 reps that can't move business due to hands being tied will simply be a liability at the end of Q4! Palmetto set the tone of 4K's future=not bright! No need for reps.

With OPKO being pharma (FDA) that's why the gift cards, write offs and dinners are no longer allowed. Well thought out!

Frost is a genius, right? Let's discuss. Opko was about $19.00 per share, now it is about $9.00.
They bought BRLI for about 600 million. Why?
Now Frost did not get his wealth from being stupid. However no one is perfect! He bought a $600 million dollar hot air balloon that has run out of fire! Don't worry about Frost, he could lose Opko and still have more money than some third world countries. I guess his Healthcare swan song is turning out to be a death March.

Quite the opposite on the $19 stock price. Interestingly OPK was around $9 and quickly manuevered up to $19.00 just before the purchase of BRLI. Was that a manipulation of insider buys to get the stock price to artifically double? If that is indeed the case, BRLI was bought for half price. Quite a smart move by Mr. Frost. After the purchase (interestingly again with an all stock deal), reality set in and OPK went back to where it should have been which is where it is now and that is $9.00

Right on! But don't Ya think that Frost wishes he could turn that deal around. OPK was on quite a roll prior to BRLI purchase. The lab killed that roll.
The lab was doing better before the deal as well! Hands are too tied no with pharma restrictions which is why it's a sinking ship! Horrible deal for both companies! Sadly the employees at BRLI will be the ones that suffer.
