Really? Then name something, anything of value that has come out of academic based research in the last five years. Just name something. Anything. If I was Brennan I would have sent that researcher packing back to the university world they came from where people draw large salaries to mostly play on the internet all day. Which by the way is a very short day. If you want to play with your test tubes or prove that Elephants can talk to people, then you belong in academia where there is zero accountability and the money flows from the poor taxpayers who are unaware of the waste and fraud. By the way they are more than willing to take handouts from the Pharmaceutical industry that they are supposed to despise.

You are obviously playing little rhetorical games and trying to alter reality. Pharma gives handouts to no one, they take the things the NIH discovers and if they think it's a good risk, they'll develop the product. AZ has a habit of spending a lot of money developing doomed products.

You are a typical liberal academic do nothing, talk a lot, pencil necked worthless leech on society. You still have not named one single product or compound that originated with NIH research in the last 20 years. These people show up at 10 am leave at 3 pm, play on the internet and drink lattes all day. They work in academics because they cannot cut it in a real job where you are expected to produce or you are let go. They point to the grants they deliver to their university and the papers they sponser or co-sponser which is another farse.
