Brand new VP of sales already quit! Packert needs to wake up

YES. This really boils down to poor leadership. The answers Zoll needs lie within the organization .. there is just no one with any power/competence to listen. I've never seen such unqualified people setting such mission critical policies and procedures. These managers/"leaders" are just making it up as they go ... literally, they are making it up as they go. And it take a mass exodus or massive headhunting fees for them to realize, Gee ... uh, maybe there's a problem here.

Where are best practices from other industries? Where are industry experts and people with actual degrees and relevant experience? Why isn't the feedback from those on the front line being heard and incorporated? Do they even realize they have TMs and RMs with vast industry experience and advanced degrees? Why are those people ignored while those who are half as experienced calling the shots?

I have no choice at this point but to look elsewhere. It is a shame, but it will be the biggest relief of my life.

Major lack of sophistication and professionalism. Whoever sets end of year goal hikes doesn't even have a basic understanding of growth cycles, cultural differences, tipping points, lifecycle management. How does a TM/RM who has steady growth for years all of the sudden not be able to get anywhere near that goal? And how does no one understand that, hold up - maybe we can't expect cookie cutter growth from every territory, every year, for the last 15 years, regardless of insurance changes, territory size changes, landscape changes, stages in life cycle, and physician mix? And that maybe this impacts turnover??? Seriously, it is time to get people in there with some experience/education.

With JW at the helm this co will continue to decline. All rick needs to do is investigate and ask some of the TMs and some of us RMs how they feel things are going. An anonymous survey.

YES!!! JW is turning out much worse than i imagined. lack of appropriate priorities, delegation, and leadership. micromanaging to the extreme while the big issues go unaddressed. surely rick can't ignore the fact that everyone is leaving. anyone with any business sense at all knows that is a bad bad indicator.

Hello!!! Micromanaging to the extreme, big issues not being addressed and everybody leaving have been going on for years. This is the status quo. It's worked for Zoll for a long time and they will never make the necessary changes to turn things around.

i'm sure that's true. only at zoll can a 50% turnover rate be considered successful.
