BPV job - good or bad

the strong reps have realized and are jumping ship in every division. BPV and access are getting smoked the most and losing reps frequently.

big bad bard is not the place to be anymore! It was fun while it lasted boys!

Jumping ship because the current pay plan is not good for you with a big territory. Jumping ship because the other companies pay more in the mid 200's for the average and Bard pays less on average. Jumping ship because the tools to compete are limited in a competitive market place such as samples and consignments and product breadth. (you are competing against Abbott, Medtronic, EV3, Cordis and BSC). Jumping ship because stent and balloon pricing is dropping and you are paid on growth.

If you are any good, you become noticed and the recruiters will call.

But where are you going to go? That is the issue. Let's face it, Edwards isn't hiring Bard PV reps. So where do you go? Endologix? TriVascular? That's jumping out of the frying pan into the fire. And with the non compete, your vascular options are limited. And that is precisely why I think Bard reduced comp. They know your options are limited in this market.

Because Breast Brachytherapy is dead, very smart move.

It's a brilliant move. Provide our primary competitor with a customer list, pricing and access to key breast surgeons so they can provide them with the Contura Ballon and also introduce them to their biopsy systems. Great move BPV, way to tee it up for Hologic.

- Sales reps, managers, and marketing all leaving. Makes you wonder why? Good thing they are leaving because it's such a great place to work and they found something better but weren't looking. Those that left just couldn't handle it. They were all replaceable.

First intelligent thing I've read on here. And they will miss out on Lutonix!

BPV's only immediate hope is Gore royalties.

Mgmt has a tough decision to make in the next 30 days. Cut Lifestent pricing down to $850 and take a 30% pricing write down on average. Or- hold pricing and lose it all. There is no clinical argument to be made, there is no contracting argument to be made. The worst thing to ever happen to this market was the Smart Stent recall. It exposed Cordis pricing and the whores like MDT and EV3 (and we didn't help with Lifestar) came in and commoditized the stent market. It was going there anyway, this just accelerated it.

After 2 years of unsubstantiated rumors, it sounds like Crosser is losing the athrectomy code. Lutonix better be a hell of a winner. Because writing Lifestent down 30% and Crosser going away overnight...ouch. Other than that, things are peachy.

Is Bard a good place to work? That depends, if you are Hans, Hug, or Jack and you are banging your female reps, then the answer is yes.

If you are anyone else, then the answer is no.

Now that Jack is gone, more chicks for Hug to bang.

The director of samples and shipping does a great job of driving resumes to recruiter. I sold the flair 70's last quarter and the denalis this quarter, don't think anyone even said thanks and didn't help my commission check. The only question I get is do I really need the samples or do I they really need overnight?

My manager told me to sell Clearvues and Denalis or else. Else what? Not making the money they promised and my original manager is gone. New manager asked if I ever thought of being a manager, answer on that is no - but really no not here. They all lose their lives.

Tell your manager to read the news. You are going to loose big time in the vaginal mesh case!

I doubt the guy in the PV really cares about the mesh case.
Hello. If you have optimum like I do. Our stock is going to crash. Us access winners have lots of optimum. My buddy Hummell and his boss before he quit are loaded with optimum and need to pay for our strippers and ex wives. Thanks for opening your mouth CH
