No, YOU dont know crap! I m one of the rehires, and ALL those that are rehired within 12 months were REQUIRED to repay the severance that they received, PERIOD!! So, yes I will receive a severance now, but technically I will get only one payment, since the last one was returned. I was lucky, since technically, I wasn't even allowed to apply for a job for a year.

SO, YOU DONT KNOW JACK! NO COLLECTING TWICE.

Bullshit. They repaid any severance that was remaining, not all of it.
And if someone got 9 months severance and were rehired after 10 months they paid back nothing.
So many people who were rehired will collect 60 days WARN+6months+2 weeks/yr-TWICE

That makes sense but is still seems awfully generous of Genentech to pay out a rehire another six months severance if they had only been back working 4 months.

Wrong! If if rehired we get 6 months and 2 weeks only for the rehire period. We will Not get 2 weeks for the previous 10 years for example.

Good thing that they were able to find very quickly open positions for those that were in Boniva's upper management, but ZERO positions for those that had to go to the field day after day facing obstacles after obstacles...yeah, good thing!
 






So what is the bottom line - how well did Genentech treat the people who were laid off? What was the package that was given? I work for another pharma and I got 1 month plus 2 weeks for each year.
