Board Certification for MSLs

BCMAS is by far the best training and certification program worldwide for MSLs and medical affairs professionals.

They have so many features that it blew my mind. NO one comes close. There are no accredited providers other than the ACMA. Their team was so helpful and gave me a tremendous level of support during the entire Board Certification process. If you're thinking of doing BCMAS. I would recommend it 1000%. The other posters here are just haters. Ignore haters.

So let me provide some perspective. I've done the Dia courses, I've attended msl society meetings and I've done BCMAS. No doubt.. Bcmas and ACMA brought a tremendous level of value to my career. It's not even a question

Interesting thread. Whether you like it or not the ACMA ship has sailed. It's where the industry is headed. And we only have ourselves to blame. ACMA is clearly the leader. No one comes close. Now they're doing CRM and Predictive AI integration. They're in a prime position to dominate this space. Our VC firm is looking at them closely at JPM. Growth has been insane.

Who would actually say this besides someone who works at acma? This company is so sad but also, given this thread, very deceiving so I can't feel bad.

Companies that are desperate enough to post anonymously pretending to be people who care and agree with what they're doing should SERIOUSLY... re-evaluate what they're doing.

I said it. No not with ACMA. We invest in companies between 50-300 million and have been looking at the Medical Affairs solutions provider space. Our research team is closely watching ACMA. We see a lot of potential. You're wrong.

Just landed an MSL role at a great company. They did say to me that they were very impressed i had BCMAS. $2000 very well spent. Here's why you should absolutely do BCMAS. First you get the credentials. When I added it to linked in, it boosted the number of recruiters who contacted me. And no... You can't just lie and make up you have it because the company actually verifies with ACMA whether you are truly board certified so don't even try that or you'll end up losing the job offer. Second look at where the industry is trending. Third BCMAS professionalizes the MSL role. Its a no brainer.

ACMA is a great organization with a very noble mission. They're disrupting the space in a good way. The old timers need to move on back.

Noble? Dude take a deep breath. It’s not like you’re feeding the hungry. You’re using science and clinical data to convince people to be an advocate for your company.

I have been in pharma for 20 years and have hired people for the last 7. This certification is useless. I want someone either with real experience or therapeutic knowledge. Going to a meeting and getting a certificate doesn’t get me jack squat
But hey if you want to just throw around money I know these clowns will be happy to take it

Do you know if having a Masters degree as Medical Science Liaison/Medical Advisor from a recognized european university works? thanks

Spoke with contact on JP Morgan healthcare team, acma was never invited to the conference! My rep had NO CLUE what they were! Not surprised.
He did however speak highly of MAPs.

I'm an MSL thinking about getting a board certification in medical affairs. There's a program I've been hearing about called the BCMAS program. It's offered by the ACMA. Has anyone done it? I heard that they will be requiring it in a few years.
As far as I know there is no such "accredited program". I would check with the board of pharmacy in your state to verify!
