This will not go unnoticed, corporate bastards
Don't think a company like PSS is capable of blacklisting. They are lucky to get enough qualified candidates. Sure, they get a lot of applications, but most (probably over 80 percent) of their applicants cannot sell.
That's endemic to all pharma companies. If you have had a contract and it ends or interview and don't get the gig, you are on the list forever

Bull. Best assessment of that is it could be not many contracts in your area, or the hiring managers has a buddy or some inexperienced kid in mind for the job. Big award winners are being left out in the cold.
Some think all people who apply for contract are third rate or outcasts. Grossly untrue. The reality is the entire industry is drying up so these jobs are good options. These same managers have gone through layoffs just like the reps. Some superb reps and mangers are in line for jobs.
Absolutely agree.
Also, you have to be in a good job market to handle the layoffs, if you want to have any stability in this industry.
If you are in a bad market (Flint, Michigan, for example), you are in a situation where you are going to have a lot of difficultly getting back into the industry. However, in an area like Flint, you should be OK, financially, with a terrible sales job, as the cost of living in low.
In areas like NYC, Chicago, LA, you are good to go. There are tons of jobs there, because of the population. Also, I think many white collar professionals don't care so much about selling pills or can find better sales jobs than pharmaceuticals in these areas.
As for PSS, I wouldn't work there unless that was the only option available. The company treats everyone like a ex con during training. However, after the training, you are good to go. Its a weird company, that is for sure, and I think the stupid French culture that they are a part of , has something to do with that.
Jobs are not plentiful in ny city area market, massive competition.
Grew up in the Bronx, and there are tons of sales jobs.
Pharmaceutical sales is a dime a dozen in NYC.
There are only three places to sell in NYC, in order: S.Island, L. Island, and the Bronx. Those othehr two piece of shit places, Manhattan and Brooklyn are for those who don't know anything about NYC.

Bronx rep who says the Bronx is not the Bronx from even 5 years ago.....
Anywhere around ny city and outlying areas is huge competition for jobs.....tons of good reps.
No doubt the best sales professionals are in NYC. They are polished, smart, and work hard.
LOL, a bunch of "Bro's" with bad tans, greasy hair, a suit they had to max out a credit card to pay for, oh and a nice coke habit just for kicks, yes, very polished.
The thing that makes NYC what it is is all of the people NOT from NYC who go there to work. The locals are mainly a cross between Artie Lang and the casting rejects from the Jersey Shore
You must be a Boston Bum...worst place to sell.
Most born breed New Yorkers are the sharpest people on the planet, and its by a long shot, much sharper than LA or Chicago.

NYC is full of short, ugly ethnic looking fucks that smell like ass juice and pickles.
