you are missing the bigger picture. Incompetent “leaders” of any gender, color or persuasion love these DEI type metrics. If they can’t figure out how to drive revenue, it’s pretty easy to hire X women, X POC, or X LGBTQ+/- and hit your goal. It’s a simple way for people with nothing to offer to appear as though they are getting something done. No higher up is ever truly held accountable for performance anyway.

Very very accurate. When team leaders/managers can’t compete, they go woke as a way to hold onto their job or try to get a promotion. I was just speaking with a former colleague who is dealing with this at his company. There’s quotas everywhere. Not performing well in the day-to-day and sweating it out with job security? Well there’s an easy fix to that and it only involves who you hire and promote.

That said, you all have bigger things to worry about than this side argument.
