Best Overall CRM Product Line

Biotronik currently has the best CRM product line on the market today.. Brady, Tachy, and CRT. They really put it together the last few years. Once the doctors really start looking into the technology, they are totally impressed. My only question, Why did it take so long to bypass the competition?

they are 'ok' in brady, 2 generations behind in tachy to Medtronic, and 3 generations behind in heart failure (CRT) to Guidant brady leads are parity w/ comp, tachy is 'ok' and heart failure LV system blows FAT DICK.....their "remote monitoring" via cell phone is impressive but takes HOURS to upload to the server and the EGMs aren't even the real epsiodes - they're 94% representative of the arrhythmia....

most old old old sales reps with intact relationships goto Biotronik to sell pacers as independants to get the 30% commish, easy to sell 5 pacers a month and make fat cash and easy lifestyle...

looks like you had an overdose of some corporate Kool Aid hommes, time to sober up...if Biotronik so awsome for you, how about stepping up to the plate and disclosing your W2?

thought so...

You got your facts totally wrong! Earlier generations of Home Monitoring used representative IEGMS to illustrate the event but the new generations transmit high bandwidth actual IEGMS.. So scratch that one from your post...

And as for taking hours to upload to the server, that one is totally incorrect. The event report, as well as high bandwidth IEGM, reaches the Doctor within 60 seconds... not sure where you got "hours to upload" but you can scratch that one from your post as well...

And as for CRT's, all the Home Monitoring toys are included. Big advantage is having 4 different LV lead configurations (The only other one who has this is Guidant... so all can say that MDT and St. Jude are a few steps behind in this area)... so scratch the whole "few steps behind" pertaining to CRT from your post...

And as for allowing modifications to the Shock Waveform tilt, only St. Jude and Biotronik allow it... Guidant and MDT are stuck with a fixed tilt... so in this area, MDT and St. Jude are a "few steps behind" so make sure you take that into account with your post...

That is the problem. Biotronik's past lines were not as dominate as the new line. They really put it all together and have the best overall CRM line on the market. People like you only remember how Biotronik WAS, and are totally unaware of what they are TODAY...

And as their product line has become overly competitive, their commission package has taken a cut, but that is to be expected because their products are so good that they are much easier to sell... They are hiring many more reps and not just old old old reps. They are hiring an aggressive, intelligent, and young sales force that will make an impact for many years to come.

So the take home message from this post is, look at what Bio has now, take a hard look at what they have today and how their product line has changed in the last 10 month, and then you can come back with an intelligent post. Until then, you had better hope your company is reloading to compete with Biotronik...

Don't encourage this idiot. Biotronik has @ 3% market share nationwide and the majority of that is in pockets like Columbia,SC with that criminal, Kenyon Wells. I think if they had the "Best Overall CRM Product Line" they would at least be at double digit market share. As for the OP, put down the crack pipe and go back to your pharma job.

Douche...

- LV config for Bio is in Europe ONLY, when it gets US approval talk some shit then...
- Not one EP (key word, Electrophysiologist) I know gives a shit about tilt waveform (which is important in 1/10 of 1% of cases), but you can go sell that stupid message to all of the cardiologists your company is recruiting to train and implant for ICDs
- You have about 1% market share in the US. When a doctor calls you for a check and you tell him you'll be there in 1 week - he'll regret ever agreeing to giving you an implant after that $2000 night you spent on him at the titty bar (and you expensed it non-AvaMed fag boy)

So, what was your W2 again? It must have been like $2,000,000 since this latest and greatest 10 months of new product releases, I'm sure docs are creaming in their pants - not because they are remotely interested in the awsome technology of the mighty Biotronik, but because they can get paid for conducting stupid clinical studies without merit and YOU can take them to titty bars and trips to Bermuda just like the good old days before Avamed...

Oh and by the way, the take home message from the CRM big boys (that would be MDT, STJ & BSC) to you Douche is this: I don't compete with my company's offering, I SELL ON RELATIONSHIPS...

Moron.....

So what was your W2 again......?

Didn't hear you.....could you speak up?

What was that?

Oh, a 2 year guarantee at $100,000 ........

HAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHHAHAHHHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH

Stock up on the PB&Js, you're gonne be broke selling how tilt waveform is the next coming of Jesus !!!!!!

not trying to butt in, but BIO does have the 4 different LV configuartions in the US and has had them for about a year

and BIO IS part of Avamed and has been for quite some time

just wanted to point this out to the last poster

If thats the case, I'm confused as to why I listened to a Biotronik rep about to start an ICD implant with his Cardiologist (note - I said cardiologist, not EP) on the phone with a collegue ask "when are we gonna have electronic repositioning, thats some really cool stuff..."

I kid you not, this occured 1 month ago in a cath lab...

clean your ears out next time before you try and listen in on someone's conversation

yeah i'll do that, and then I'll make sure that the other 5 cath lab staff cleaned their ears out as well who heard the exact same thing I did...

You're right I shouldn't listen in - that's just not right....especially when that dumbfuck doesn't even pay attention to who's around him and speaks like he's talking thru a megaphone....

I'm sorry, please don't report me to AvaMed....

Losers,

Its "ADVAMED" not "Avamed".

Avanced Medical Technology Association. If you're gonna work for companies that subject themselves to a group consensus on politically correct behavior, spell it right! (btw- I don't work for Biotronik. I am an Advamed victim too. I just prefer accuracy.)

That why the local BIO rep with 10 yrs CRM experience said if one of his relatives had to have a device implanted he'd choose MDT/BSXSTJ...not BIO. HHHMMMMM

Simply put BIOTRONIK stuff doesn't suck. It works.

Are they rusty pieces of metal? no. Can they pace? yes Can they shock? Yes, eventually. Are the Diagnostics worth a shit? No. Hows their longevity? questionable Recalls? you have to implant to have recalls....

Both BIOTRONIK and ELA were built based on needs and concerns for socialized medicine in Europe. Think of them as products of where they were developed. Competition built MDT, SJM, and BSX. They charge fast, they have good features, they project longevity and are held accountable. They have met the needs for the American ethical MDs.

There is a niche for BIO and ELA but its not easy to be one of those guys.

At the end of the day, any celebrity, any Senator, or any VIP, they never NEVER NEVER have gotten BIO or ELA devices.

I love this. 5:30 post is one of the best I have seen on CP. Very good analysis on ELA and Bio.

Be careful criticizing Kenyon Wells. He will put you in the ground and he can borrow one of the John Deere tractors he has given implanting doctors to dig the hole. I don't know anything about Tom Brown, other than he looks like Wolfman Jack and is a sexual harrasment case waiting to happen, but the stuff Kenyon, and now his offspring, get away with could keep the FBI busy for years. It really is incredible that doctors implant as much Bio crap as they do. More $$ has changed hands in Columbia over pacer and ICD implants than at a Vegas casino during the Super Bowl. If you are implanting cardiologist, he can get you chartered flights, vacations, John Deere tractors, new cars, hunting trips, your kid's college tuition, etc, etc, etc.

Give it time... Their market share will catch up to the quality of their products... Give it time...

Give it time? ok, how about a year. Biotronik market share is still at 3% or so. They love to hype this and say it is 5 or 6, but it's just not so. Today, almost one year from this initial post, little has changed. What has changed is the acquisition of Biotronik by CF in Las Vegas. The capitulation of Bio to CF will almost double their volume of CRM and CRT implants, but still will not push their mkt share to 4%. I may be in the minority, but I was disapointed and concerned
to see CF leave. I wish him well, and although this is clearly BIO's gain, it wont help.

I guess it comes down to how many millions it takes to move market share by 1 point. I do not have that info but CF and team will move 50-60 million in 12 months. Not to mention the other reps that are pondering the jump. I am not in the minority when I say I am sorry to see him leave Boston Scientific. He was a valuable salesman that always took time to help others out.

The initial "jump" is over. Those who liked the offer are gone. Yes, we might see one or two more go, but this really is it for bio. The "jump" we should keep our eyes on, is who will jump back, or elsewhere. 50-60 million in one year? maybe, it's not unrealistic, but what about the following twelve months. If you have been around the industry you know that bio can not keep up with bsc and medt on the technology front. The implanters will see this. We have several ex bio employees who make this point daily. The relationship ties will only go so far.
