I made this father/son team boil over with anger because I went in to see the son and I was standoffish to the father as he wasn't in my list. He literally asked me "do you have any updates for me"? I said sorry you are not on my list currently. He asks"well how did they arrive at your list"?!. I said above my pay grade doc. He then told me that was a sad way to do business.

and nbu is in total agreement but if we don't sample the call doesn't count. So sorry but if it's your numbers or my ass you numbers have to fall on the sword. I do not say that with glee either. It is a shit situation for all.

Exactly! Do you think we want to hound people for signatures and force samples that are either unwanted or hurt our counterparts? Hell no! I know for a fact my partner can't see some of the Ophthalmologist, but they put it as a call because they can meet with the tech and grow market share. But for me it doesn't count because I need a signature to make KK feel smart.

I align with several NBU reps. One is telling docs they are not a target. I don't think the previous poster indicated that All NBU reps were doing this. But it sounds like there are some out there who are not being tactful, professional, or respectful of the doctors. Nowhere did this project 20/20 request or expect rudeness. Nowhere have I heard you were not allowed to talk to a non targeted doctor. I only know this was going on in my area because the accounts told me about it. They were a bit shocked that someone who works with me would say and do this. The other NBU reps I align with have run into this too, but chose to speak to the doctor and answer questions. They politely told the doctor they were only there to support me and would let me know they needed a sample.

In all honesty, there are no eyecare docs in my area, targets or not, who don't have a stack of cards. There are very few who need samples. I find it odd that a company under a CIA agreement would be forcing reps to force a doctor to sign for a card or sample they do not need or request. It does cross a line.

...Now excuse me while I go all bull in a china shop in this office trying to get signatures from the 5 ophthalmologists I have as targets. The same five that my OBU counterpart has never gotten a signature from, but they can still count as calls.

This cracks me up...bull in a china shop. I'd laugh harder if it wasn't so true.

I made this woman so mad today. The optometrist was on my list but she wasn't. She asked about side effects and it literally looked like she short circuited when I told her she wasn't on my list. If I'm not getting credit I'm not talking.
