Best nbu Ecp call of the day

so I go in to get a signature in a two provider practice. Only 1 is my target mind you. The other doctor heard me mention xiidra and asks if he can talk to me when I'm done. I politely explain that he is not aligned to me and I'm not permitted to converse with him on the xiidra because I have to way to mark a call.You should have seen the deer in the headlights look he gave me. I couldn't leave fast enough!
 






ahaha! One doc that was not aligned to me asked if I could leave him some samples because he wanted to bring it the the other location. Sorry no can do! You're not in my system and your partner already signed for 1.
It was so weird. He was like what do you mean I'm not in your system?! I've been here for years!!
 












I've had the same situations with ECPs wanting samples and info who aren't targets in an office - for me - sorry, no can do. I had one optometrist tell me today, "You do know I'm the only one who will sign in this office, right - and we need samples". I wanted to say, do you think KK fucking cares about the inverted pyramid in your office.

Now excuse me while I go all bull in a china shop in this office trying to get signatures from the 5 ophthalmologists I have as targets. The same five that my OBU counterpart has never gotten a signature from, but they can still count as calls.

Rinse and repeat 6 more times.
 






one doc was signing and told me about patients being turned away at the pharmacy in their own building before even taking the card! Telling the patient this won't be covered! Can you stop in?! Sorry! Not my area! We don't do obu pharmacy calls. Thanks for the sig!
 






one came outside waving his fist because he found out I left a box and there were already 12 in there. It's an office of 3 and I've left 6 boxes so far on top of what was already in there! I'm totally serious, he literally came out to my car! It actually screwed me up the rest of the day. I didn't make him mad on purpose. I feel sorry for the obu rep and for the relationship I'm clearly ruining
 






well I managed to force some air out of my firm round blonde ass so that the Alcon bitch could smell my vegetable cream cheese bagel and coffee while she left her 15 different products.

Thanks for pissing my doctors off. I went in after you told him that you can't call on him. ARE YOU F'in STUPID??? Now I have to come up with some story about why and reassure him that he IS very important and this must be a mistake. How bout I walk into YOUR offices and do something so ASSININE.
If you're not able to handle situations like this PLEASE do NOT go in any offices where there are non-targeted docs.

Your OBU rep has not gotten a signature because they don't want samples destroying scripts. Stop the sampling. 1 month free is enough!

and nbu is in total agreement but if we don't sample the call doesn't count. So sorry but if it's your numbers or my ass you numbers have to fall on the sword. I do not say that with glee either. It is a shit situation for all.

I'm obu but oddly I have to side with the nbu rep. He has no info, can't see him in the system. Heck, xiidra could be restricted for him for some reason. And if they aren't smart enough to realize this situation and make sure nbu can call on the entire office then that's on them.
 






You all may think that is funny and hopefull you are joking, but this is reality. I have NBU reps telling docs they can't talk to them because they are not a target. Some of them are very good prescribers and a rude and uninformed NBU rep who is only after bonus money is telling them they are not targets? This guy is telling everyone from the receptionists to the technicians and even the doctors. No explanation, I can't talk to you, you are not a target.

NBU rep here-it sounds like if this is the case then you have an idiot rep as a partner. There's a tactful way to handle this less than ideal situation and it doesn't sound like he is doing so. I'd take it up with your manage and let him/her know your concerns. Or call the rep thenselves and explain the best way to approach this usurpation. I'm in agreement it's ridiculous but we honestly can't call on them and don't have to access to their information in our system. But we also don't need to be jerks about it. We should be acting like professionals. Though by half the demeaning posts on this board I wonder how many of us actually are...

The NBU reps are not after the measly $3500. Most will not even meet the 7 calls on 95% of the target criteria to make the bonus.
The reality is when an asinine plan like this is rolled out, asinine actions must be expected.

I had a doc ask me about a dinner program that I had no knowledge of lol
Then he asked me about contacts or something and I quickly told him he wasn't aligned to me

I align with several NBU reps. One is telling docs they are not a target. I don't think the previous poster indicated that All NBU reps were doing this. But it sounds like there are some out there who are not being tactful, professional, or respectful of the doctors. Nowhere did this project 20/20 request or expect rudeness. Nowhere have I heard you were not allowed to talk to a non targeted doctor. I only know this was going on in my area because the accounts told me about it. They were a bit shocked that someone who works with me would say and do this. The other NBU reps I align with have run into this too, but chose to speak to the doctor and answer questions. They politely told the doctor they were only there to support me and would let me know they needed a sample.

In all honesty, there are no eyecare docs in my area, targets or not, who don't have a stack of cards. There are very few who need samples. I find it odd that a company under a CIA agreement would be forcing reps to force a doctor to sign for a card or sample they do not need or request. It does cross a line.
