Best lies?

Where to begin?

1: The Quota Structure is fair!

2: You're RM is not a complete pharma failure!

3: It's Pending Authorization for a few weeks

4: We never received the fax

5: We promote from within

6: The company does not actively make deductions on Friday before segments end, its just a coincidence. They make deductions as they come in.

My favorite is when the regional managers and upper leadership lie to The current salesforce to keep them motivated and when interviewing potential new hires and tell them " this device is going to be in guidelines soon" ..to Anybody reading this when you are told that please ask,: so after 13 years , the device still is not guidelines but you think it's going to be?, Or ask them,: is it the current vest trial that's failing and has horrible outcomes so far, and that's why It keeps getting pushed back and not getting completed, is that what's going to get it put guidelines? This whole organization is based on wishful thinking, with no evidence, and nothing to stand on. total joke.

This is so true, why do you think the VP of sales quit one week before the national sales meeting. It's because he knows something that nobody else except for people that are above him know, Which is there's no future here!

Anything that comes from marketing or is "published" in a questionable journal by an executive at Zoll pretending to be a scientist.

I would like to Author a clinical article. It would read something like this "Zoll lifevest- a retrospective look at a large number of people who have died with the vest on. Or something like this Zoll medical -number of patients who have died waiting for the PAP to be approved or something like this Zoll Medical- a look into why so many sales reps are crashing their car in an attempt to kill their managers.

I would like to amend one article Zoll- why so many people die with the vest on, or die when it's on the table next to them, or when it's in the back of their car or when it's on its way back to Zoll because logistics said to return it or when it's strapped on their dog.

Here is one that I really like - after I quit, Zoll advertised my territory online to potential candidates as being a device job without call and minimal to no nights or weekends. It was listed as a job perk.

I guess saturdays, sundays, Christmas, new years day and thanksgiving aren't weekend or holidays??? I also figure that they don't count call as 9pm and 10pm phone calls telling me to drive 2 hrs each way to replace a belt or they would call my manager and report me.... One time tech called at 10pm on a Friday evening during a family event I was hosting at my home. I explained that I had had several glasses of wine. Guess who was insistent that I drive drunk to the home of the patient to "troubleshoot" the device? Yep, that's what it's all about at Zoll Lifevest.

For the record, I made Zoll call the patient and confirm that the patient wanted to see me at 11pm. The patient said no. Zoll, however, was willing to send me out drunk to an appt they hadn't even verified that the patient was willing to accept.

I had the same thing happen and so did one of my team members in an adjoining territory. They made him go out in a terrible snow storm and threatened him with his job. A tech supervisor tried that with me my second month on the job. I told her to call my Regional and explain the problem. My account rep put herself in charge of hiring PSRs for my territory which pissed me off. She couldn't find anyone so when this problem arose I told them go to my a Regional. You created the problem by taking over the PSR process and screwing it up so don't call me to bail you out. My Reguonal backed me and I took over the PSR hiring process. After that I learned to TURN OFF MY PHONE! They screw up ALL THE TIME and want to be a team when it's convenient for them. If one of your docs call and you need to get involved so be it. Other than that pass!

And now they are tracking vacation in some official tracker???? What a slap in the face. How about tracking all the nights, weekends, and holidays that we have donated to this company? And who really gets any vacation anyway? I swear, they have NO IDEA what our jobs entail.

I was contacted about a position in the Manhattan territory. Can someone please tell me what a realistic first year plan would be? How is the manager? Why is this territory empty? thank you

If you are currently unemployed or possibly getting laid off soon then by all means go to Zoll for a paycheck. Please read all of these posts. Cafe pharma is usually the underperformers or just people who want to complain but that is not true here. 99% of these comments are accurate. Turnover is over 60%. Over 1/2 of the sales force were in the run for "first year rookie" if that tells you anything. You will be looking for another job in 6 months-2 years (2 years is a stretch) the quota continues to go up and growth is exaggerated. Management will tell you this is technically in product launch mode still and there is so much opportunity. It's been approved by the FDA in 2001. This product should not be in "launch mode". It's a good product for the right patient but the growth Zoll expects is not attainable for over 2 years.

The first thing you should do is remove your name and resume from the recruiter. If you don't know, and you should, recruiters save their best candidates for companies that pay the most for good talent. Zoll pays 3k. That's right all you are worth to your recruiter is 3k. How does that make you feel? Do yourself a favor and tell your recruiter your not a shit candidate and you want to be taken seriously and presented to a real company. Ir if you are a shit candidate join the rest of the new reps that have been recruited in the first year that need a flash light to find the cafeteria in the Hospital.

Don't listen to the naysayers. They're all former pharma morons that haven't figured out how to sell devices. In fact they never will. This is a great place and you'll represent a fantastic product and earn a higher than average device commission. Good luck

Don't listen to management at Zoll. They start with posting lies and will continue all the way through up until your last day. They are notorious in the field for their lack of ethics to patients, physicians and their own employees. It all starts with building trust which they don't care. Ask any former employee what it's like to work here, versus a recruiter or someone in sales or marketing whose only job is to disparage people who tell the truth.
