Bellevue Pharmacy

If its an ABH knock off then they will have a good run for a few years, cheat the government out of a bunch of money, get bought by a CEO of pharma company who obviously have no clue, begin to sell on label and then....

That is a good one--Tricare reversed its decision July 23, re re24 hours before they were to stop reimbursing for compounding. They are re-examining the issue......! A modified policy will be announced in 6 months, and YES, compounds will continue to be reimbursed. Bellevue may not be the best representative of compounding pharmacy, but there are some very good ones, and there are very lucrative positions available-you just need to know the good ones from the bad.

Tricare just stopped paying for these compounding pharmacy products last week.

Change is in the air...

Pure D Bags in the group. Anytime you have an interviewer say "sell me this pen" run. Regional manager from Austin was a clown.

I met with the Director from Austin today and the hiring manager out of Kansas city. Hiring mgr seems like a really nice guy. At the end of the interview they asked me to go to barnes and noble and buy a book and take a personality assessment out of it and send it to them. Seems a little odd to me. If they want me to take a personality test, why wouldn't the company administer it rather than sending me on a book-buying errand? They also seem huge on relationship selling and do not care about much about selling a product based on the merits of the products themselves or the benefits to the patients. They were basically all about who I could pick up the phone and call to use the pain cream asap. Also kind of goes against my grain as a sales rep. Just seems sketchy but maybe I'm not used to pharma...

Any additional thoughts on a sales opportunity with this company?

Sounds like they want to drive adoption of their products via docs blind loyalty to a rep...not because they have the best product or the best salespeople.

Yes. This is the worst nightmare for a Dermagraft rep. You would then have to rely on your sales skills. You would starve. Oh, sorry...You are starving.

Run away from this - this company focuses on one specific compounding segment (transdermal pain creams) which has high margins. What do you think insurance companies are going to do when they see this exploited as big players like Bellevue hire reps all over God's green earth? They cut reimbursement or stop covering compounded medications completely. Then what happens? Bellevue is a one-trick pony and it is going to crash and burn in a spectacular fashion when the reimbursement for these medications gets slashed or is no longer covered.

You have no clue what you are talking about. They are going to cut reimbursement because the company has a larger sales force? Terrible. Stop wasting people's time. Anyone have LEGIT insights on this company?
