WHO CARES ABOUT BAYER DIABETES! For goodness sake, you guys sell blood glucose monitors. I hate to burst your bubble but they are NOT a real medical device. If this division folds at least you all will have a good chance in your next career selling band-aides, tampons, and toothpaste.

Strips are a commodity. Co-pay cards knock the expense down to $15. Most DSS's won't be here longer then 1-2yrs.

This is what all the strip and meter companies are finding out..... Strips are a COMMODITY!

Why would any company spend dollars on a sales force to give meters away and low price strips??? Why would any Doctor want to see these folks??? Strips should be in the OTC marketplace not behind the counter. Give it.... up! Retail is where this division belongs.

Hey, do yourself a favor and print this thread out and tape it to your "December" calender hanging on your fridge- so when you get laid off then you can say you were warned. Sure glad I found another job last fall before BDC laid off 1/3 of the division. Bayer has some awesome BGM products but bottom line is the management and managed care situation is terrible.

NEWS FLASH: 2nd phase of layoffs took place this week. Gov't account reps/Mngd care reps. Looks like the cuts are NOT OVER. Just keep hanging around til you're next.

Bayer is fusing everything they can, won't be long before bayer diabetes is rolled into consumer care or pharma. Guess what happens then? You lose your job! WAKE UP people!!!!!

No doubt that pharma sucks, BDC is ran just like pharma so it makes this place not an ounce better. This division is a dead end for anyone who aspires to be anything more then a rep.
