Bausch & Lomb CEO Eyes IPO

Vision Care is where the growth and $$ is at. Gained share with PV2HD in the largest lens category in the first 3 quarters for the first time in......well a very long time. Newest technology in toric innovation launches nationally in January, a new material in the daily disposable segment in June, a new multi-focal design in Q4 (if not sooner), plus they will also launch a competitive peroxide based lens care product by Q4 as well.

This is where the company is going.

Sounds good. That is if the timelines are really met. R&D has a history of promising breadthrough products only to miss delivery dates in a big way. I hope the management is keeping eye on the timing for the project deliveries because someone is going to miss the deadlines slipping the projects into 2013.

The boiler room may have been working perfectly on the Titanic but it was still part of a big ship that sank. Has anyone told you guys that you are a separate company? Wake up; infections, if not treated, spread throughout a body and make the entire thing sick. WP wants to make money off of the entire thing; most of which is rotten and fetid.

2013 or 2014 for sure. Job security. Always keep them thinking that you are just about to come out with something big. In R&D things are always 6 months to 1 year away. When the 6 months are up the product is not delivered and another promised date is 6 months down the road.
