AZ Vimovo/Dutoprol Contract

I would LOVE to hear some opinions on this contract. How is access? Are the products going to fly? Training was INSANE, and it's not over yet considering the corporate field rides that have begun...part of their "assurance program"...

AZ rep here.... we were going to launch dutoprol over 4 years ago when it was approved and when Toprol-xl went generic but the marketing team and bean counters after running the numbers felt it was not going to pay for itself. AZ is desparate and its long term plan is to be distinct form other companies based on sales force effectiveness.... aka "beating you and training you to death" . Giving you so many rules to follow that are not even required by the fda and making any drug impossible to launch.

All of the pipe line drugs that had/have a true novel benefit have not made it to market except Brilinta.

I launched Toprol-xl. You give you AZ rep a call, some of the " old timers " in your market might be able to help you out.

Also AZ is tring to be the first company to completely launch a drug with contract sales force and be successful... they will never realize the combo pill of two generics with today's economy and regulatory environment is the stupidest idea ever. The will blamre you or Publicis...get ready.

All I can say is "Vimovo"....
 


















It is amazing, I have multiple physicians calling me for sample of the drugs. Some are not even on my call list. Many are new docs. The sample are flying off the shelf. We are in for a wonderful bonus and extension on the contract. Yea!!!!
 


















What is the deal with this contract? I have heard stories about training and people being sent home? What is the reason?? Isn't this a short contract? What are they looking for? any suggestions before I go to training?/ I don't want to get sent home? Any insight?

AZ demands that EVERYTHING is done "by the book"! Individuality is not an option with them. Memorize everything and spit it out verbatum and you won't be sent home,deviate from it and you will be told to leave immediately.19 out of 90 were sent home last time. Good luck!!

And that's why AZ is THE worst of the worst of the phama companies. Their first qtr. sales numbers were the worst in their history. They just forced out their CEO. They are is a total mess. You can't find one AZ rep that has ever heard of Dutoprol!
