Authorized Generic

Yes they will cut CRM, Endo/PCP and SAE. 2nd half of the year for sure. You watch how much they talk about the “future is bright” trying to keep us all here, distracted until they can cut us. Yeah right BI! The writing is on the wall update that résumé folks!

They will give ample notice so employees can find employment. BI will not pay out that much severance. That could collapse BI US human Pharma.

Medical. Marketing. Leadership. Compliance. HR. Training. KAM. SAE.

They’ll reduce head count for sure! Look how quickly respiratory was cut after the generic hit.
BI had 20 years to prepare for the retirement of Tio and everyone who supported the brand. It was not quick. There was a multi-year strategy and it generated billions.
Empa will not have the privilege. RIP.

Waaaaa, you might not get your sales handed to you now. Between BI, Lilly, contract reps and endless DTC commercials, you’ve had it way too easy anyway. The CV/MET side is too heavy!

Agree. BI acts like they are doing the respiratory reps a favor giving us 6 months of a heads up so as to be placed or find a position out of the company. The reality is they don’t want to pay much in the way of severance. AND, what about taking our last personal day away from the sales force, tagging it onto a holiday. UNBELIEVABLE. What a shit show.

Agree we are to heavy, but the DTC and contract reps make selling harder not easier.

Not sure if I agree with the contract rep comment... I've worked with 3 contract reps over the past two years and I'd take any of them over the lazy ass lilly reps I've had to work with over the years.

And honestly, these lilly obesity reps promoting zepbound but still dumping jardiance samples in offices for no reason other than to collect a signature is making selling harder than anything.

Even if the AG does not hit the market until later this year, the brand headcount has a very unfavorable ROI. There is no way to spin a brand copay vs a generic copay.
Moral and productivity will also be lower than ever.
My résumé is getting updated this week!

Health Systems will be cut first.
No CMPs

No one in CV/MET cared when Respiratory was getting screwed over so don’t expect sympathy. Sucks when the tables turn doesn’t it?!?

No one asked for sympathy?
Respiratory reps had years to make a change and knew it was coming. Frankly, it lasted longer than anyone expected. The majority stayed because they want severence or are in denial.
Empa is still in its prime! This would not be happening if SGLT2i’s were not part of IRA.
Happy patients will have a generic copay, but this sets an unfavorable precedence for the future of industry. It is a big warning for all of us.
