Lets face it. This company is way off the mark for sales attainment this year. If Astellas wants to stay competitive and be a Top 10 company by 2015 they are going to have to do more than buy these companies with drug in development. Astellas needs money making drugs yesterday. If they don't merge with someone with products ready for 2011 they will not hit that 2015 goal. Not to mention that Takeda is Japanese owned and that is very important to Astellas to remain a Japanese based company. I guess we all will know soon enough.
