What does this say about Amgen and their morals and values. I hope this just a rumor not a slap in the face of the people amgen put in the unemployment line by ARI.
Maybe they will stop treating everyone like crap? Some good has to come out of this?
The RIF happened in 2007, it's now 2010. Business changes a lot in three years. I am glad things are getting better and people should be happy that things are looking up and more secure.
As someone who survived the RIF, walked out on my own last year and am MUCH happier where I am now, "Frankly, Scarlett, I don't give a damn."

i asked to be riffed and got my wish. i was nervous at first but it all worked out. i wish amgen nothing but sucess in the future and hope that the rumor is true. they just need to work out their hiring practice. seriously there wasnt even a need for the rif to begin with.
My manager was saying today that if they can not lease out Bld#1 then they will get a 3rd product by 2012 or do all the Enbrel final product work and make a packaging facility.
I take that back, all drug companies get a 5% federal tax discount to place the final packaging in PR (ALM).

I look in here once in a while to see if anything's changed. Apparently not. The few people I know that are still there are there because of the outside job situation. I was lucky enough to be able to land a job outside of the drug industry, so I jumped at the chance. I don't miss the FDA at all.
ARI has riffed and terminated around 1000 employees in the past few years some very highly skilled people. Now the only people left are the overflow lazy managers and backstabbing workers trying to survive at the cost of others. Hire away you already created a name as a place NOT to work in RI good luck recruting talent.
